Defect. THE STARTER RELAY MAY SHORT CIRCUIT WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED.
Risk. THE SHORT CIRCUIT IN THE STARTER RELAY MAY DEVELOP ENOUGHHEAT TO CAUSE A FIRE IN THE RELAY, OTHER PARTS OF THE MOTORCYCLE, AND OTHERITEMS IN THE SURROUNDING AREA.
Remedy. REPLACE THE STARTER RELAY.
VEHICLE CUTS OFF AND HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY WHEN DRIVING. HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 20 TIMES. ALSO, ENGINE REVS/BACKFIRES, AND THEN CUTS OFF. SITS FOR A WHILE BEFORE STARTING UP AGAIN, DEALER CONTACTED AND CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK
