Defect. Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Momentum and 2022-2024 Solitude Fifth Wheel trailers. The U-bolt may become loose due to inadequate preload and preload losses, causing the axle to move out of position.

Risk. An axle that moves out of position can cause a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash.

Defect. Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Solitude and 2023 Momentum fifth wheels trailers. Loose or missing fasteners on the refrigerator cooling unit can allow excessive movement of the unit, possibly causing the propane line to crack and leak.

Risk. A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect the refrigerator, and repair or replace it as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 23, 2025. Defect. Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2019-2024 Grand Design Solitude fifth wheel trailers. The step tread joints may be unsupported, causing the tread to break.

Risk. A broken step increases the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will reinforce the current step tread with a metal bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 22, 2025. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is 910048.

Defect. Grand Design RV, LLC. (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Momentum and Solitude fifth wheels, equipped with certain CURT 7000 and 8000 lb axles. The U-bolts may have been improperly tightened, which can cause the axle to move out of position.

Risk. An axle that moves out of position can cause a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and tighten the U-bolts, as necessary. Any damaged components will be replaced. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Defect. Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Momentum, Solitude, Imagine, Reflection, and Transcend travel trailers. The electric retractable awning has a welded seam on the fabric that may separate, potentially allowing the awning to drop beyond normal operation.

Risk. An awning that drops or extends beyond normal operation can increase the risk of injury.

I am submitting this complaint regarding recurring safety-related defects involving a 2022 Grand Design Solitude 3950BH. According to the owners, numerous defects began shortly after delivery in 2023 and have continued despite repeated repair attempts. The most significant safety concerns involve: Multiple slide-outs reportedly opening during transport. Persistent "Excess Twist Detected" warnings from the leveling system. Structural alignment issues, including cabinet, trim, shelving, and interior component separation. Repeated slide-out malfunctions, including crooked operation, binding, and floor damage. Cargo-door and latch-related concerns requiring multiple repairs. Water intrusion, roof failures, and structural deterioration concerns. These reported conditions appear similar to issues currently under investigation by NHTSA under PE24-029, which was opened after complaints alleging excessive frame flex in certain Grand Design fifth-wheel trailers. NHTSA's investigation summary references complaints involving cargo doors opening while traveling, entry doors opening while traveling, and slide-outs extending during transit. The owners report repeated service visits and ongoing failures, yet many of the original concerns allegedly remain unresolved. Of particular concern is the possibility that structural movement, frame flex, body distortion, or a chassis-related condition may be contributing to the recurring slide-out, door, alignment, and leveling-system issues. The center hanger was bent inwards along with the lower plate of the frame being tilted inward. This bowed out the vertical frame web and left the shackle tilted at an angle. The RV was taken to a dealer and they sent info to Grand Design for warranty approval. 53 days after the dealer inspected our rig, Grand Design finally told us they were denying warranty coverage due to this same dealer repairing the frame at the front nose (but not doing anything around the suspension area). I was told by Grand Design and the RV dealer (after I had moved the rig about 125 miles) that I shouldn't move the rig without it being repaired. I did have my insurance inspect it, but they wouldn't cover it as it was not collision caused. We were stranded at the campground where we were and were fortunate to be able to extend 30 days. I finally found a mobile welding shop to come out to repair the damaged frame. I was told that this was definitely a roll risk due to the possibility of the bent hanger giving out. This caused my wife and I much mental anguish.

On January 18, 2026, while towing my 2022 Grand Design Solitude 310GK near Bouse, Arizona, I discovered a serious problem and pulled off the road. The rear axle had become detached/displaced. At the time, I did not know exactly what had occurred or what caused the axle event. The RV was subsequently delivered to a repair facility on March 27, 2026. During the repair process, significant structural/frame damage was progressively discovered, including cracking in the spring-hanger/frame area. The repair facility documented that the damage was more extensive than initially believed and performed structural repairs that included additional steel and plating. My insurance company approved $23,615.83 in total repair costs, with a net repair cost of $23,365.83 after the $250 deductible; not all of that amount was frame-related. During this process, Grand Design referred me to Lippert regarding frame repair information. I subsequently received a Lippert frame repair procedure addressing inspection and repair of frame cracking. Grand Design has advised that my RV is not within the date range of the related program. I have asked Grand Design and Lippert to review the documented structural repairs and determine whether they are consistent with Lippert's frame repair procedure and whether the RV is structurally safe for highway use. I have specifically stated that I am not asking them to determine the cause of the January incident or certify the repair facility's workmanship. I am seekin

Documented Symptoms consistent with the conditions described in Grand Design TSB 24-001 1. Dynamic Sidewall Separation – Driver and Passenger Sides The upper-deck sidewall area displays visible movement under load. When the trailer is connected to the truck via the pin box, the exterior trim and sidewall gap noticeably widens. When the trailer is leveled on its landing gear, the separation compresses and partially closes. Additional observations include: •Separation of exterior trim components •Cracked and widening caulk joints •Visible movement beneath both upper-deck slide-out openings These conditions were first observed following an approximately 300-mile round trip completed on August 6, 2026. 2. Front Driver-Side Slide-Out Binding and Incomplete Operation The front living room slide-out now binds within the opening and appears affected by structural distortion. Timeline: •July 24, 2026: Upon arrival at an RV resort, the slide-out stopped approximately halfway during deployment. Retracting and redeploying the room allowed it to complete its cycle. •August 6, 2026: After returning home, unhitching, and leveling the coach, the slide-out again became firmly wedged during extension. It required assistance to retract and return to the closed position. Because of the excessive binding force encountered, I have not attempted to operate the slide again. 3. Front Passenger-Side Flooring Distortion The vinyl flooring adjacent to the upper-deck slide-out area is lifting, rippling,

I own a 2022 Grand Design Solitude 346FLS fifth wheel trailer. The trailer has been at the dealership for over nine months after structural frame cracks and weld separations were discovered during inspection. The cracks appear in structural frame components and welded areas supporting the chassis. This raises concerns about the integrity of the trailer frame during towing and braking. In addition to the frame defects, all four leaf springs in the suspension system have failed or lost structural integrity. This suspension failure presents a safety risk because it affects axle alignment, load support, and trailer stability while towing. The trailer manufacturer (Grand Design) and dealer have been notified, but the unit has remained out of service for an extended period while the manufacturer decides how to address the problem. Structural frame cracking combined with suspension failure represents a serious safety concern for a towable RV traveling at highway speeds. I am submitting this complaint so the issue can be investigated for potential defects affecting other trailers of this model or similar models.

Weak bedroom floor. Screws backing out of bedroom floor and poking through flooring. Front nose cap separating from body. Broken screws on front nose cap. Pin box flex. Buckled wall in bunk slide out room. Main living space floor is bowing down where it meets the walls causing main door mis-alignment and the stairs to cause marks on the flooring etc.

• Cracks in the Pin Box: A reputable RV dealer/shop has identified significant cracks in the pin box, indicating a serious structural compromise. • Slide-out failures: The GIBs on the slide-outs have broken, causing them to extend while the RV is in transport on highways. • Cargo door malfunctions: Cargo doors are repeatedly popping open during highway travel. • Main entry door instability: The front door and screen are not operating correctly, preventing proper closure and causing the door to open unexpectedly during transport. • Structural fastener failure: Screws and bolts are detaching from the unit during transport. • Front cap detachment: The front cap is popping open at the fifth-wheel hitch area and exhibiting significant sway during transport. These issues collectively indicate a severe underlying problem with the structural integrity and frame of the 2022 Grand Design Solitude, creating hazardous conditions for both the occupants and other road users. I urge NHTSA to investigate these defects thoroughly to prevent potential accidents and ensure consumer safety.

While performing a factory recall on the RV, the mobile RV tech discovered underlying issues. He suggested that we get an in-depth evaluation. I contacted and dropped the RV at the shop for diagnosis. The shop discovered extensive frame damage (weld break) at the main beam connecting the pin box and also total frame break and separation on the upper deck floor support. There is substantial floor sagging above the outriggers extending from the living area through the back of the RV. The whole rear of the RV is sagging, causing wall cracking and slideout damage. The shop also measured a considerable deflection (pin box to front bottom frame) while performing the manufacturer's instructions for the measurements. The manufacturer has denied our claim and we are tasked with getting home to permanently park the RV. The manufacturer communicated with the shop regarding their finds and the denial, but has not contacted me in any way. All recalls/TSBs have been performed. The rear TSB has not fixed the rear frame sagging and the front TSB was not 100% completed by a dealer, in that several lag bolts were not replaced and none of them had adhesive applied. We have been fortunate that we have had no doors open while traveling. I composed a list of the items we found and submitted it with photos to the manufacturer. They said that the RV qualified for the "Customer Satisfaction Campaign" and that it should take ~1hr for a visual inspection. They only paid 0.10 hrs.

We bought our 2022 Grand Design Solitude 346FLS-R in March 2023. We have had numerous safety issues and concerns, and currently don’t feel safe towing it. 1. External locked compartments and entry door open while traveling. Risks: distraction, collision (passing vehicle or objects), quick maneuvering (to side of road), contents ejected onto road/vehicles. Resolution: Shops have tried to fix, but problem continued. I placed some screws to extend the latch plates. Concerned this is a “frame flex” issue, along with our floor separation, sheared screws, saw dust, etc. 2. Three axle/suspension failures. In 3/2024 and 12/2024, sudden/extreme tire wear was noted due to failed suspension (broken leaf springs, cracked equalizers). In 8/2025, while driving on [XXX], an entire wheel disappeared. We called the MI highway department afterwards and they had no reports of accidents or debris due to the wheel. Roadside assistance got us to a local repair shop that found the 3 other tires were badly worn/damaged, rear passenger side leaf spring cracked (3rd time), and remaining brakes "fell apart in chunks". The technician diagnosed a bad spindle. As the work was completed, the shop owner stated "I don't think your suspension is fit for this rig. It already appears max'd out." Risks: The entire wheel flying off on the highway could have easily killed someone. Suspension failure while rolling could lead to tire blowouts/catastrophic damages/major accident. Resolution: Suspension repairs made/t

The contact owns a 2022 Grand Design Solitude RV. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH and hauling the RV, the rear passenger's side tire of the RV experienced a blowout. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The contact replaced the tire with a regular-size spare tire; however, the rear passenger's side tire experienced a second blowout while driving on the same day. The contact stated that the tire failures caused damage to the RV. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with frame flex, frame steel fracture, and missing screws around the hitch, and unparalleled axles. The RV was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a Grand Design technician confirmed that the RV was experiencing excessive frame flex, which the contact related to the tire failure. The manufacturer recommended towing the RV to one of their locations for frame repairs, but the contact was advised that the repair of the axle damage caused by the tire failures, prior to towing the vehicle, would be paid for out-of-pocket. The RV was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Grand Design Solitude. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the doors unlatched and opened. The contact stated that the bolts were missing, the furniture moved, and the walls shifted. While driving at an undisclosed speed, the RV failed to drive in a straight line. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed with fractured slides and failure to the frame. There was an unknown diagnosis related to the suspension. The vehicle was repaired to the original specifications, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2022 Grand Design Solitude. The contact stated that while pulling into a campground she was informed to check the tires. The RV was taken to a tire center where it was discovered that the brakes had crumbled and there was a spring inside. Additionally, the equalizer was cracked. The contact stated that while driving 75 MPH on the highway, a wheel on the RV detached. The RV was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that the axle was cracked. The local dealer was contacted several times. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 10,080.

The contact owns a 2022 Grand Design Solitude. The contact stated that the front passenger's side tire had lost air pressure due to a crack on the tire sidewall on three separate occasions. The contact stated that the TPMS had confirmed the lost of air pressure on the front passenger's side tire. Additionally, The contact stated that he had discovered the same crack on all three front passenger's side tires that were replaced. The contact stated the crack in all three tires appeared to have formed within an inch of the wheel valve stem. The contact stated that the tires were replaced; however, the failure persisted. No further information was available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a warranty claim was filed on after each failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.

Exsessive frame flex/failure, Structural and Mechanical Issues · Cracked and separating frame. · King pin alignment is visibly off when hitched, greatly reducing maneuverability. We can no longer safely jackknife the trailer. · Front cap is separating and leaking, allowing water intrusion into the RV – a serious concern for mold growth. · Closet wall separation. · Basement doors pulling away and separating. · Sagging kitchen floor causing a slide to become non-operational (required emergency assistance from a mobile RV technician). · Missing rollers under the kitchen slide. · Screws consistently fall out throughout both front and rear basement compartments. Frame failure due to bad welds. Walls separating from frame so bad that you can see the ground outside, flooring sagging in living room, cargo compartments will not close properly. Two sets of springs busted, one replacement of axle.

Our frame on our 2022 Grand Design Solitude S Class 3740BH has failed. While towing this RV 5th wheel trailer, we have observed signs of frame flex/failure and now it has been verified by RV tech Justin Douglas of TBD RV Repair out of Denver, IA 319-883-6030. Items to note: Our hitch inbox appears to rise and fall several inches during transport. The front cargo doors and side entrance door have opened during transport after being secured. Several pieces of moulding have “pulled” out from shifting along the front trim of the trailer. The afore mentioned left and right sidewalls appear to shift during transport resulting in pulled screws that support the bedroom floor connected to the sidewall. The roof membrane has separated at the front cap from shifting back and forth. We believe they’re maybe be structural damage to the roof and front chin cone as well under the membrane but we have yet to open the roof to protect the rest of the trailer from rain. Cabinetry in the front bedroom has shifted causing separation of the shelves. The thin staples keeping the particle board have fallen back into the front cone. We re-secured them so we could use the closet without items falling into unaccessible parts of the structure. The bedroom and master bath floor squeak and rise and fall (move) when walking on them The bedroom door has also gotten stuck closed after transport due to shifting. Slide out in kitchen creeps out during travel. Propane door opened during transit. Slide mechanism was replaced 14 months ago due to failure. Has now failed again. Frame had cracks repaired and additional supports added 5 months ago.

My unit has had multiple frame failures. this is where the frame is literally breaking due to being under engineered by the manufacturer. There are many things that happen due to this. walls don't line up floors squeak, doors wont close. But the worst problem of all is the danger of towing. With a broken frame many things can happen including loss of life. This is what I fear the most. I have had this repaired once already by the factory and it is doing the same things again. I feel unsafe in and towing my unit.

In 2024 Grand Design repaired cracked welds and separated wall structures related to frame flex. One year later, the unit is back in the shop at Grand Design for the same symptoms, they updated there is a crack near pinbox and separation at bulkheads.

While trailering our 42 foot 5th wheel down [XXX] in Florida I looked out my sideview mirrors and found the forward aspect of our passenger side opening into traffic during travel. I have also had to add external straps to bay doors as they have opened up during travel. All of these items are available for inspection. I am trying to get the slide fixed today as it is an integral part of our living space, and we cannot travel with the slide inoperative. By having these items open up during travel there is danger to passing by vehicles, as well as those behind us during travel, as items or slide parts could fall out onto the road. As occupants, we are in danger due to forward focus on travel being interrupted and in the case of a slide moving out, there is a weight distribution change. There are components of the slides that have broken over past few months for reasons unknown. They have always functioned for us until this last road trip when we were caught off guard by the slide opening on its own accord during travel on freeway. The frame of our Grand Design Solitude has failed. As a result the front bedroom slide has begin to move out while towing and in turn destroyed the main bed and closet in the RV. This problem was noticed and reported to Grand Design in March of 2024. We were assured then that it was still safe to tow and to bring it to a dealership when we were able to. Because we are full time RVers, our first availability to bring the RV for service was June 7, 2024. We dropped the RV off at Blue Compass RV in Concord, NC where it was subsequently inspected and the referred to another Blue Compass dealership, in NC, because the repairs needed were more than the first dealership could handle. Once it was transported to the next Blue Compass dealership it was again taken apart and inspected and we were told it still could not be repaired at their facility because of the amount of damage. During this whole process, I as the owner was never given a report or work order about what was wrong with our RV or what steps may be necessary to repair it. From the second dealership it was referred back to Grand Design in Indiana. Once it reached their shop they were able to disassemble, inspect and make the 'repairs' in just 4 business days. This timeframe is very suspect given they told me they did not have access to their dealer systems - so they do not know what was wrong with it when they received it?! We are now being told that the repairs are complete, but still I do not know what ever happened to

We have had multiple failures of the slides, the tsb that was supposed to fix the sagging problem in the kitchen has now also failed. Presently one of kitchen slides won’t extend. We have excessive frame flex. Recently Grand Design inspected the hitch area and re-welded 3 areas that had cracked and broken welds. Added the larger lag bolts per their service bulletin. They were unable to check the upper deck at the time due to not have the necessary tools to do that. The front cap has separated from the roof slightly. The rear wall has now started to separate from the side walls. We also have a broken part in the suspension. The interior walls have cracked by the kitchen slides. Grand Design has been notified complete with photos. I am awaiting their response. These issues began very early after purchase and have only gotten worse with time.

While driving, the entire wheel detached from the front axle on the driver's side on 7/31/2024. I was unaware of the tire coming off until another motorist flagged me down. I pulled over to the next gas station where I found the entire wheel, hub, and tire including brakes had detached from the vehicle. I purchased the vehicle new and there has been no service done to the wheels and tires since purchased. Based on my contacts with the Grand Design dealership in my area as well as other mechanics I know, they suspect the castle nut must have come loose while driving which I have been told should not have failed. I was unable to locate the wheel after the incident as I was on an approximately 4 mile long bridge when the motorist flagged me down so I suspect it may have gone over the side of the bridge when I lost it. Attached repair invoice for repairs to get home, but additional cost is being incurred to replace the wheel and tire at this time.

Frame failure at the pin box, 2 cracked welds, missing lag screws on upper decking rails and wrong size, had dealer inspect and make repairs per Grand Design, these defects are putting me and my family, and other people on our highways at risk due to possibility of complete king pin failure and rv coming detached from tow vehicle, I personally feel that Grand Design and Lippert are covering up a severe defect on these frames and poor construction quality at the expense of the consumer, which has drastically decreased the value of my rv which I now feel is defective and just waiting for a serious accident every time I hitch it up to my vehicle. The way I was aware of issue was from other Solitude owners who were having same issues. I feel there should be a recall or buy back of these defective rv's to remove them from our highways before a fatality occurs.

When checking for frame failure per Grand Designs TSB. My RV shop found 4 missing lag bolts and the ones installed were incorrect ( 3/8 installed should be 1/2 ). Then in examining the front upper frame they found cracks on both sides. I have pictures of the cracks.

This 2022 grand design solitude was used on one 200 mile trip other than going to the dealer for repairs and it has upper deck frame flex because it keeps shearing off the screws on the front filon. The frame flexes so much even empty that when it’s sitting on the front jacks the passenger side storage door is locked good , but when you put the weight on the truck 5th wheel to travel down the road, the door doesn’t stay locked and opens. The passenger side wall is sagged down, pulling away from the camper and the floor is sag down also on that side and screws are pushing through the floors. There’s a huge list of things wrong with this camper. Those are just a few. It is not safe for the roads.

The outside and inside body parts started to separate. Frame failed. Yes it is available to be inspected upon request 5th wheel could have broken free from tow vehicle while traveling down the highway. . Problem was confirmed by the manufacturer, we were told to bring it in to the manufacturer service center. They confirmed the frame had failed. They deconstructed upper deck and then added supports and repaired the damaged areas of the frame. However we are unable to see what they have done. We have to hope the “fix” is enough to hold the frame together as we drive down the road . There are no warning lamps or messages you just have to be really aware of any changes in hitch moving and screws falling out, decals getting ruined around filon and on the inside is the furniture or stairs rubbing on the walls is the moulding twisted. Our roof popped after the first 6 months . There isn’t anything that screams a problem until it’s too late. We noticed things happening very quickly, however being new to a 5th wheel we thought a lot of what we were seeing was normal travel movement.

We are experiencing signs of excessive frame flex like many others with similar Lippert frames. We have a squeaky floor in the front and rear. We have furniture rubbing in the front and pulling away from the wall. The stairs inside the door are rubbing as well. The rig makes excessive creaking noises while being towed. We have an appointment to take it to the Grand Design service center in June. Until that time, we will not be towing anywhere. We are frankly a little concerned about the 600 mile trip.

I have been experiencing floor squeaking for more than a year now. It's in the front of the fifth wheel in what is the bedroom. Extending into the hallway, and bathroom. I tried to contact grand design and was told it was ok and to add wood shims into the framing under the bedroom flooring. This only help minimally for a couple of weeks. Then the loudness and softness of the flooring has gotten worse. We also lost a wheel and tire due to a suspension failure resulting in the wheel to be ripped from the hub and axle while going down a two lane highway at approximately 40 mph. 8 lug bolts were sheared completely off the wet bolt holding the springs were also broken. I again contacted grand design and dexter the axle manufacturer and was denied coverage at both locations. I do believe I'm suffering from some amount of frame failure. However I cannot get grand design to agree to check on how bad the frame issue really is. I had a SRT from grand design work on my tv in December of 2022. However he never finished all the issues we had brought to grand designs attention. Now that was over a year and a half ago since we saw the SRT, I have tried to contact him numerous times I never heard back from the SRT. We just heard that grand design has extended all frame warranties from 2 years to 5 years effective immediately from the 2020 model year. However it doesn't cover second owners or anyone before the 2020 model year. The unit I have a 2022 GD Solitude 390 rk-r. I ordered this rv new

1 April about 1530 we had an electrically generated "thermal event" in the generator compartment of the RV. We were not traveling, the RV was set up in the dedicated site on our property and had not been moved in 3+ months. The fire could not have been caused by any "outside influence" as no one had been in that compartment for 3+ months and there is no generator in that compartment. We use it for storage when we travel. The greatest safety concern is any fire can consume an RV in just minutes and this compartment is directly beneath our bed and immediately adjacent to a 40# propane tank connected by rubber hosing to the regulator. Had we been in the trailer asleep we might very well have been overcome by the dense smoke before we could get out. The only thing that kept the trailer from burning to the ground was the simple fact that the ventilation holes cut into the floor of this compartment to provide combustion air to a generator were covered because we didn't want our stuff bouncing around on a metal floor in transit. Simply put, the fire just rain out of oxygen. Grand Design has not been particularly responsive to the event, so we do not know yet what the eventual resolution will be, but it's clear than any repairs will require a massive structural exploration to reveal any hidden damages or possibly determine a cause. Are there any similar thermal events reported to you, particularly with this manufacturer?

This terrifying event could have ended in tragedy were it not for the runaway truck lane. While towing on I-75 at 65 MPH, the driver's side front storage doors came open. These doors had been shut, locked, and checked before departing. They were secured again and remained closed at a lower speed. Examination revealed two design flaws. First, they are side-opening overlapping doors. With an overlapping (rearward) door facing forward, this allows the slipstream to enter the gap putting strain on the two retaining locks. The second is on the two cabinet cam locks for the forward door. The throws for both are short with the upper barely making contact with the frame of the opening. vibration causes this one to come loose opening the gap for even more slipstream penetration. Solution reorient doors so overlapping is facing rearward, and put longer throws on cam latches. I replaced the short one with a longer one that had to be molded to fit, the forward door is much more secure now. This problem has been reported by other owners of this model 390RK on Facebook.

All four brakes burned up and failed. The landing gear fell out of the assemblies. The brakes were metal on metal and heated up so much the turned the drums red. This fifth wheel is only 6 months old and has had numerous problems not limited to the brakes and landing gear.

I just had my rv at the dealership in December of 2022 for repairs and maintenance on the rv including the suspension system. Within 300 miles the shackle bolt broke twisting the spring and then shearing off the wheel/rim/tire sending it flying down the highway. The rotor dragged on the roadway until I could stop resulting in damage to the rotor and brake line. I have a five year warranty on the suspension, however Grand design and Dexter axle refused the warranty blaming me for non maintenance and or overtorquing the shackle bolts. With a Facebook page dedicated to grand design solitudes like mine I have heard of numerous situations like mine with suspension issues. I believe there are issues with this rv bring over weight for the axle systems/suspensions being used. This heavy of an rv should be a tri axle at the least. Grand design picks and chooses who they assist and who they don’t. I think even offering a 7k dual axle system is way underrated. Please help fix this unsafe situation.
