Defect. Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2024-2027 Reflection fifth wheel recreational trailers. The auto detect solar controller may select a 24 volt output when the electrical system is designed for 12 volts. The incorrect voltage may damage the 7-way bulkhead power center and other circuits.

Risk. While damage to the power center increases the risk of a fire, damage to the electrical system may cause the trailer brakes or exterior lightings to fail, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. An over-the-air (OTA) software update will be released. Lighting will be inspected and repaired as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 16, 2026. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is 910068.

Reading this record

No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.

Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.

Recall repairs are free for as long as the recall stands. Check whether a specific car still has open work at NHTSA's VIN lookup.
