Defect. SEAT BACK OF THE REAR BENCH SEAT MAY BREAK AWAY FROM THE SEAT CUSHION IN AN ACCIDENT.
Risk. SEAT OCCUPANT WOULD BE SUBJECT TO GREATER INJURY; VEHICLEWOULD NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 207.
Remedy. INSTALL REINFORCEMENT THAT RUNS FROM SIDE OF SEAT BACK FRAME ASSEMBLY TO SEAT CUSHION FRAME ASSEMBLY, STRENGTHENING THE SEAT BACK.
MY VEHICLE HAS ONLE 78,000 MILES ON IT BECAUSE MY IN-LAWS USED IT TO TRANSPORT MENTALLY CHALLENGED WOMEN AROUND, AND NOT VERY OFTEN. IT IS HAVING PROBLEMS LEFT AND RIGHT WITH PAINT, DOORS, AND THE ONE I AM HERE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IS THE TRANSMISSION, WHY IF THEY DID A RECALL ON THE 4L60E DID THEY NOT DO ONE ON THE PROBLEMATIC 4L80E.*AK
