Defect. A MANUFACTURING CONDITION IN THE THROTTLE BODY INJECTOR (TBI) UNIT MIGHT OCCUR TO ALLOW THE THROTTLE CAM LEVER TO DISENGAGE FROM THE THROTTLE DRIVE SHAFT.

Risk. IF THE THROTTLE CAM LEVER DISENGAGES FROM THE THROTTLEDRIVE SHAFT, THE ENGINE COULD GO TO WIDE OPEN THROTTLE WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.THIS LOSS OF VEHICLE ACCELERATOR CONTROL COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy. REPLACE THE THROTTLE DRIVE COVER ASSEMBLY.

Defect. THE PARKING BRAKE DRUM ATTACHMENT BOLTS MAY LOOSEN AND CAUSE A DRIVELINE LOCKUP CONDITION WHEN THE BUS IS STOPPED OR ALMOST STOPPED.

Risk. DRIVELINE LOCK-UP COULD CAUSE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROLWITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, AND RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy. REMOVE ALL OF THE PARKING BRAKE DRUM BOLTS, APPLY A RETAINING COMPOUND TO NEW BOLTS, AND TORQUE THE NEW BOLTS TO SPECIFICATION.
