I have contacted Flagship Ford Carolina in Puerto Rico in regard to processing my recall and continue to be pushed aside. For over a month now, I am told someone will call me back and never does or I am transferred and receive no response. When I call back week after week, it is the same situation over and over with someone different. One person has told me they work on this recall but have to confirm if parts are available and that someone will get back to me. It has been two weeks since. I have to ship my car back to the states in less than two weeks, and the recall is supposed to be completed. This is unacceptable. Their information is below. Went somewhere in my car. Got out the door wouldn’t latch. Had to drive it home with a broken latch. That in itself is a safety issue! It very well could have broken while I was going down the road at 55mph. I was just lucky it didn’t. I stopped at one mechanic, he said there was a manufacturer recall, the dealership where I got the car won’t honor the recall. They are making me pay $150 diagnostic fee to look at and fix. I’m f course that doesn’t include parts and labor to fix. All that is extra. I may need to take out a loan at the bank to pay for it all.

The 2016 Ford Fusion is currently at the dealership and they confirmed the issue. It's been inspected by a Ford Dealership Service Center. Yes, a light came on in the vehicle, but I do not remember which one. Nothing we did caused it to stop working. One day it just started jerking and catching while turning. Then it stopped working suddenly.

I was getting on the highway when the car suddenly started overheating, the warning light did come on. This was roughly around [XXX], I do not recall the exact date. Then suddenly everything went back to normal. Engine temp was perfect within a second. When I got home, I checked the coolant, and it was very low. So, I replaced the coolant. The next time I started the car it barely started, and White smoke poured out the exhaust. I then parked it in the garage, and it sat. After researching what the issue was. I knew I couldn't afford a $10,000 bill. Recently I had to take a loan and brought the car in to be inspected and repaired. The engine, Turbo, Tires, and some miscellaneous work was all done at the time. It was towed in on [XXX]. The engine was serviced by Van Horn Ford of Sheboygan. I didn't bring the car in initially because I bought it used so it didn't have a warranty and I knew I could not afford to replace it at the time. My 2016 Ford Fusion with 90,000 miles has a coolant intrusion problem. This has caused my car to shake, smell, run terribly, hesitate while driving in traffic, almost losing power and now not starting. The first time I had trouble starting my car I took it to the Ford dealer that has always worked on my cars and was told I have a coolant intrusion issue. They said coolant leaked into a cylinder due to a design issue and there is no recall at this time. My service engine light would go on and off. When we called the dealer about the light going on and then not coming back on for weeks at a time they said when the light goes back on and stays on to call them and they would have a look. This started about 6 months ago. The light would only light up a couple of times and go back out. My car has not started since the beginning of April 2024. The dealer has quoted us $10,000 to fix this problem of a faulty designed motor.

Was driving and vehicle started to shake and lose speed. Check engine light came on. Checked and said misfire in cylinder 3. Ford does not have recall for this year or model even though it's a widely known issue. My car was bought, and registered in Pennsylvania, and is not covered by the 2 previous recalls for this issue. I do not know why Ford won't cover a door latch repair. The door literally won't close, so the car is not secure and also cannot be driven in this condition. We've tried all methods to get the door to close, none work. My 2016 Ford Fusion check engine light came on and started blowing white smoke out of the exhaust. I had it towed to the Ford dealership and they told me that my entire engine needs to be replaced because of a coolant link on the engine. They said my car overheated and had no coolant. I know my engine had coolant and there was no sign of a leak. There was no notification of the car overheating. After researching on the internet there is a known part that cause this problem. Ford is aware and they aren't fixing it. My car could have caught on fire with no fault of my own. I can't afford to pay $10,000 for a new engine. This is an extreme financial hardship for me.

So multiple times in this past year I have been driving my car as normal and when I approach an intersection, decreased my speed, then proceed to accelerate in order to move forward or turn ... while pressing the accelerator its like i have no power.. it goes into a limp mode. There is nothing that triggers this is behavior. It has occurred multiple times. It has occurred as I have came off the interstate and sat at intersection and also while in city limits. It has happened a handful of times and its not producing any engine light indicators when this is happening. I typically turn off car and then have to turn it back on for it to work again. This is extremely scary for myself and dangerous. I'm concerned about the safety of myself , my family, and other drivers on the road. Failing to accelerate properly at intersection could cause a collision. I've almost been rearended / caused traffic concern & delays attempting to maneuver my car safely off the to the side of road. I've seen multiple comments online about the same issue I took it to Ford Garage and they didn't know what it was and say it may be throttle body but their not sure. They were just guessing. I was also told they would try to see if it was covered under warranty but they weren't sure but I never heard back. They told me I could call but I was waiting on them to call. I also spoke to advance auto who said it may be Throttle body and/or acceleration pedal sensor. I am financing this car and honestly it has less

First noted engine acting sluggish about a week prior to 2-13-24 oil change at Firestone. They suggested it may be the fuel injection system needing to be cleaned, which they performed on 2-14-24. Engine continued to run sluggish and was in fact worse than before, engine light came on 2-21-24 so Firestone replaced fuel injector that day. Error codes were reading misfire in cylinder 2, the engine was still full of carbon and other buildup so they thought there was still residue and thoroughly cleaned everything again after replacing fuel injector. On 2-22-24 I refueled after work and car would not start. AAA was dispatched to tow vehicle and I notified Firestone it would be brought in, fortunately after about 15 minutes I was able to start it and drive it to Firestone, engine light immediately came on. They looked at it first thing on 2-23-24 and engine started up normally, they suspected a faulty fuel canister valve (which was replaced in 2020) but that did not turn out to be the case, codes were again reading misfire in cylinder 2. White smoke began emitting from exhaust and they discovered spark plugs as well as engine cylinders were soaked with oil, also coolant was nearly gone despite no signs of a leak. Upon doing research they discovered this website and pending class action lawsuits against Ford for faulty engine design that knowingly causes coolant to leak into cylinders, thus causing engine block to fail. They advised me to trade/sell the car immediately but also to

My vehicle has been maintained by the dealer and myself for the 87800 miles that have been put on it. I purchased the vehicle in August of 2016 brand new with 34 miles on it. The motor has a manufacturing defect, the block was built in the same plant (Hermosillo, HERMOSILLO, MEXICO)that other Ecoboost motors were built in that were recalled for the coolant leaking into cylinders via a "fix" which was cutting a channel between the cylinders on the deck of the long block between the cylinder walls, this compromised the integrity of the seal between the cylinder head and head gasket. This allowed coolant to leak into cylinder 4 of my vehicle. Ford has known about the issue for the last several years and continues to make these motors. The dealer I purchased the vehicle from wants $14,000 to replace the motor with a new long block but I would not feel comfortable having that done and would want a crate engine as the other components would now be compromised. I have spent $1200 on replacement coil packs and spark plugs, coolant and oil, all to treat the symptoms. In addition to Fords $260 diagnostic fee at the dealer for a known defect. Ford should not get away with bilking customers for $10,000 plus engine rebuilds - this would likely not last the same miles it has gone currently in my case.
