And Ford has a program to fix these issues unfortunately my car year falls outside their current criteria. Took the car to the mechanic and they said it's an ongoing issue with these cars.

Several weeks ago, my "ENGINE LIGHT" came on. I went to the mechanics and they diagnosed it as a "CLUTCHED MOTOR" My A&B clutches are affected by this. Now my car does a little jerk when I drive it sometimes. I do the proper maintenance on it when it needs to be done, so I'm not sure why this all is happening. I would appreciate if I could get some type of understanding and/or feedback on this situation.

While on interstate felt steering wander. Within minutes I received a warning that the steering had a fault and service required. Now the car say it has steering failure. The cost to repair has been estimated at $4000+. I am still purchasing this vehicle and the mileage it at 75,000. With how quickly I lost steering I would say less than 10 miles of first steering issue. I am grateful I was able to park the car to avoid an accident. I have not been able to use this vehicle since this incident. The front wheels are locked up and towing it was inconvenient. This is the second problem we have had with this model the first being a transmission issue.

Almost as soon as it came on, a warning displayed stating Engine Temp Hot, Stop Safely. As I started to pull over onto the shoulder, the power steering went out and then the brakes became extremely hard to push in. As my car slowed down I noticed smoke and as soon as we stopped flames came out from under the hood of the car. I called 911 and the Indiana State Police came and Incident # 2023-00344031 was filed after Pike Township Fire department extinguished the flames. State Farm Insurance was contacted and my car was deemed a total loss. I have photos but the website wouldn't upload the photos.

At ~84k miles the vehicle lost the ability to shift into reverse gear. Upon reading about the issues with dual clutch transmission, swapped the actuator motors and some gears were restored but quickly lost all gears. Took to local transmission shop where they explained this is common issue with vehicle model. My options were to rebuild the transmission or replace the transmission, in either case costs would be approximately 50% of the vehicle's fair market value. Given other year model issues with the powertrain, this needs to be addressed by Ford and extend the same options given to purchasers of earlier year models. I was told the 2018 models had this issue "fixed", which led me to purchase the vehicle. Otherwise, great car but this is a design issue that there is no fix for.

Every time I start to accelerate from a stop. The transmission starts to stutter heavily and many times there were times the car would not accelerate causing the cars behind me to stop suddenly as to not hit me. Very dangerous as this is not normal which means something is wrong and one day it will just not accelerate at all and could cause a very bad accident. NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
