Defect. CERTAIN TOWABLE TRAVEL TRAILERS WERE BUILT WITHOUT A BEDROOM EMERGENCY EGRESS WINDOW.

Risk. IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE OR OTHER EMERGENCY, PERSONS IN THE FRONT BEDROOM AREA MUST EXIT THROUGH THE ACCESS DOOR. IF THE ACCESS DOOR IS BLOCKED, THERE IS NO WAY OUT OF THE TRAILER, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURIES TO THE TRAILER OCCUPANTS.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CURRENT SLIDING WINDOW WITH AN EMERGENCY EGRESS EXIT WINDOW FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MAY 27, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FLEETWOOD FOLDING TRAILER AT 1-814-445-9661.

DT: CONTACT STATE TRAILER FLIPPED OVER WHEN A BUS PASSED IT ON THE HIGHWAY. THE TRAILER WAS TRAVELING AT 65 MPH. THE TRAILER WAS TOTALED AND TOWED AWAY. A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN. THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED YET. THE MANUFACTURER OFFERED NO FREE REMEDY.*AK
