Defect. ENTEGRA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 EMBLEM FIFTH WHEEL TRAVEL TRAILERS. IN THE PRESENCE OF MOISTURE, A REMOTE ACTIVATION MODULE FOR THE LEVELING JACK MAY ACTIVATE AUTONOMOUSLY WITHOUT THE USE OF THE REMOTE CONTROL.

Risk. IF THE JACK WERE TO ACTIVATE WHILE THE VEHICLE IS BEING TOWED, IT COULD RESULT IN A CRASH LEADING TO PROPERTY DAMAGE, INJURY, OR DEATH.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL INSTALL A RELAY WHICH WILL PREVENT THE REMOTE MODULE FROM SELF-ACTIVATING IN THE PRESENCE OF MOISTURE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING FEBRUARY 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ENTEGRA AT 1-800-945-4787.
