Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) expanded the affected population to include 73,712 2005-2009 RAM 2500 trucks produced at the St. Louis North Assembly Plant. With this change, Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2004-2008 RAM 1500, 2005-2009 RAM 2500, 2006-2009 RAM 3500, 2007-2010 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis, 2008-2010 RAM 4500 and 5500 Cab Chassis, 2004-2009 Dodge Durango, 2007-2009 Chrysler Aspen, 2007-2012 Jeep Wrangler, 2008-2012 Dodge Challenger, 2005-2008 Dodge Magnum, 2005-2012 Chrysler 300, 2006-2012 Dodge Charger, 2005-2011 Dodge Dakota, and 2006-2009 Mitsubishi Raider vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in AL, CA, FL, GA, HI, LA, MS, SC, TX, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), and the U.S. Virgin Islands, or "Zone A." Risk. These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules, and used as original equipment or replacement equipment. These inflators may rupture due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling. An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Remedy. Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the recall repair is complete. Chrysler will notify the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM owners. Mitsubishi owners will be notified by their company. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S43. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V-7700.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2005-2009 Dodge Ram 2500, 2004-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 and Durango, 2006-2009 Dodge Ram 3500, 2008-2010 Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500, 2007-2008 Chrysler Aspen, 2005-2010 Chrysler 300, 300C, 300S, and SRT8, 2006-2010 Dodge Charger, 2005-2008 Magnum, 2005-2011 Dodge Dakota, and 2006-2009 Mitsubishi Raider vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with a dual-stage driver frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture.

Risk. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

Remedy. Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the recall repair is complete. Chrysler will notify the affected Chrysler and Dodge owners and Mitsubishi will notify the affected Raider owners. Dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began for Chrylser on June 8, 2015. The recall for Mitsubishi started on June 24, 2015. Chrysler and Dodge owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Mitsubishi owners may call 1-888-648-7820. Chrysler's number for this recall is R25. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V817 in its entirety. Vehicles that have had their driver side frontal air bag replaced previously need to have their air bag replaced under this recall as well.

Defect. Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2006-2007 Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, Dakota, and 2006 Mitsubishi Raider vehicles manufactured July 1, 2005, to July 31, 2006 with manual transmissions. The return springs in the clutch ignition interlock switch may break.

Risk. Broken springs can result in a no-start condition, or cause unintended movement when the ignition is cranked, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the clutch ignition interlock switch, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P80.

Defect. ON CERTAIN PASSENGER AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES AND PICKUP TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS, THE SOFTWARE PROGRAMMED INTO THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE CAN CAUSE A MOMENTARY LOCK UP OF THE DRIVE WHEELS IF THE VEHICLE IS TRAVELING OVER 40 MPH AND THE OPERATOR SHIFTS FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL AND BACK TO DRIVE.

Risk. IF THE DRIVE WHEELS LOCKED UP, LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL COULD OCCUR INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL REPROGRAM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 2, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DAIMLERCHRYSLER AT 1-800-853-1403.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Dakota. The contact stated that a dealer technician came to the contact’s residence and performed an air bag recall repair. Following the repair, the vehicle became inoperable. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start and that a burning odor was coming from the area near the air bag. The battery warning light was illuminated. The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

The manufacturer sent a third party to fix an airbag recall. Before the third-party technician touched my truck for the recall, both my horn and cigarette lighter worked. Now, after their repair, neither works. Therefore, something they did caused an electrical fault. I advised whoever sent the technician and they said they would send the guy back. No one will answer my calls and no one has fixed my issue.

While driving eastbound at approximately 70 mph, I heard a loud bang, a whooshing sound, and felt a sudden change in the handling of the vehicle. I pulled to the shoulder, and found that the entire inside and outside sidewalls of the right rear tire had shredded.

The windshield popped off in one corner, it was due to the lack of a weather seal the truck was not equipped with. The lack of seal created a Reservoir of water that cannot be seen and made rust along the edges. This rust ate away the glue and lead to leaks and finally I had to replace the entire windshield because it was no longer safe to drive with when it rained. The water leaked in and obstructed my view while driving.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE TWO BUBBLES IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT TIRE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT UNDISCLOSED SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE WAS PULLING TO THE LEFT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE TIRE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,547.

DRIVING ON FREEWAY AND AND VEHICLE GOES IN TO 4LO BY ITSELF. WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED AND TURNED OFF YOU CAN HEAR 4WD ENGAGING BY ITSELF.

AXEL SNAPPED IN HALF FRONT LEFT DAMAGED , I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AT A VERY LOW SPEED

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DAKOTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REVERSING, THE THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE BRAKE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ON. THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE EMITTING FROM UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD AND NOTICED THAT THE SMOKE WAS FROM THE SIDE OF THE ENGINE. IN ADDITION, BRAKE FLUID SQUIRTING FROM THE BRAKE LINE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT OFFER ANY HELP. THE CONTACT WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,700.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DAKOTA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS ENGAGED IN PARK, IT ROLLED AWAY WITHOUT WARNING. THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE TAIL LIGHTS AND BUMPER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS WIFE SUSTAINED A BACK INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED OR TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT DOOR OPENS UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE IN MOTION, WHEN LOCKED OR NOT.

TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DAKOTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT TWO CAMSHAFT SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MECHANIC ALSO STATED THAT THE AIR BAG FAULT SENSOR ILLUMINATED AND THAT FAKE AIR BAGS MAY HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AT DADELAND DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (16501 S DIXIE HWY, MIAMI, FL 33157, (305) 278-9994) FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V352000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 123,000.

VEHICLE: 2007 DODGE DAKOTA ST CLUB CAB, 2WD, 3.7L V6, 42 RLE AUTOMATIC TRANS PROBLEM: AT ROAD SPEEDS OF 34-50 MPH THE VEHICLE SHUDDERS, VIBRATES, AND SOUNDS AS THOUGH ON A RUMBLE STRIP. MY RESEARCH INDICATES THAT THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE HAS AN ERROR THAT INCORRECTLY TELLS THE TORQUE CONVERTER TO START THE LOCK UP RANGE AT TOO LOW AN RPM, RESULTING IN THE ENGINE AND TORQUE CONVERTER TO NOT BE SYNCHED CORRECTLY. THIS PROBLEM BEGAN SHORTLY AFTER I'D BOUGHT THE TRUCK AT 71,100 MILES. I'M AT 71,500 MILES NOW. THE REMEDY IS AS LITTLE AS REPROGRAMMING THE PCM FLASH TO AS MUCH AS REPLACING THE PCM, THE TORQUE CONVERTER, AND TRANSMISSION. I FEAR THAT THE PROBLEM COULD RESULT IN CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF THE DRIVE TRAIN COMPONENTS IN A WAY THAT COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH. THERE ARE TWO TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS OF WHICH I'M AWARE ON THE MATTER.

I HAVE REPEATEDLY ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR MY DODGE DAKOTA'S RECALL. INITIALLY I CONTACTED HUNTINGTON BEACH CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM AND WAS TOLD THAT MY NAME WOULD BE PLACED ON A LIST AND I WOULD BE CONTACTED. NOTHING! I THEN CONTACTED COURTESY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF ORANGE COUNTY. FINALLY HAD THE FIRST RECALL REPAIRED, BUT NOT THE MARCH 2016 AIR BAG RECALL. I HAVE CALLED AND CONTACTED THE SECOND DEALER SINCE MARCH 2016 TO REPAIR THE AIR BAGS AND HAVE BEEN TOLD EVERY TIME THAT THE DEALER HAS NO PARTS, BUT THAT THEY WILL CALL ME. IT HAS NOW BEEN ONE YEAR...AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN CALLED....BY EITHER DEALER. HELP!!

TAKATA RECALL I CALLED THE DEALER FOR THE RECALL THEY SAY NO PARTS AND IF IM CONCERNED TO PARK THE VEHICLE AND NOT USE IT. HOWEVER THEY DON'T OFFER A RENTAL VEHICLE. I ALSO CALLED CHRYSLER AND SAY THING THEY DON'T WANT TO PROVIDE RENTAL WHEN I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IT WAS WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT IT WAS COMPLETE ALL THE SAFETY FEATURES WHERE IN WORKING ORDER KNOW WE DISCOVER THAT'S NOT THE CASE. MANUFACTURE SHOULD REPAIR AND PROVIDE A RENTAL UNTIL THAT HAPPENS.

OUR VEHICLE IS EXPOSED TO SUMMER HEAT TO 110 DEGREES OUTSIDE AIR TEMPS (INTERIOR VEHICLE TEMPS 140 + DEGREES) AND WINTER LOWS TO 15 DEGREES PLUS TRUCK IS 10 YEARS OLD. CURRENTLY, ALSO, EXPOSED TO HIGH HUMIDITY WITH HEAVY WINTER RAIN IN PAST TWO MONTHS. HAVE CONTACTED LOCAL DEALER'S REPAIR FACILITY WITHOUT RESOLUTION; THEIR EXCUSE IS NO PARTS. WHEN IS THIS GOING TO GET RESOLVED? NOTE: POOR PERFORMAANCE "ADEQUACY OF EXISTING SAFETY RECALLS".
