I am reporting a serious public safety concern involving Walmart Auto Care Center in Waterford, CT, after tire installation on my 2023 Dodge Challenger. Walmart installed four new Michelin tires on 05/12/2026 after Walmart.com order #[XXX]. On [XXX], a missing front passenger-side locking lug nut was discovered. I photographed the missing lug nut area and reported the issue to Walmart. When I returned to the Waterford Walmart Auto Care Center on 06/12/2026, the Tire/Lube department manager stated that Walmart associates do not tighten or torque locking lug nuts because of a prior incident where a locking-lug key broke inside a customer’s wheel. This was never disclosed to me before service and was not posted for consumers. On 06/24/2026, the same department manager confirmed that statement in front of an assistant store manager during a recorded in-person interaction. During that same interaction, after I stated the vehicle has five lug nuts per wheel, the assistant store manager stated words to the effect that I could safely drive with only three lug nuts. My concern is not only reimbursement. This appears to be a serious vehicle safety issue: customers may be leaving a tire service department with missing, unsecured, or untorqued locking lug nuts, without being warned that all lug nuts were not properly secured. Lug nuts secure the wheel to the vehicle. A wheel or tire assembly failure at roadway speeds could endanger the vehicle occupants and the public. I have scheduled a

The front windshield spontaneously cracked from the A frame. This is dangerous because it weakens the windshield and can impair vision. Multiple people online have complained about the same issue with their 2023 Challengers. I had it fixed at my dealership and through my insurance for an exorbitant amount of money. I contacted Stellantis and they tried to get in contact with the dealership but I dont believe they did. It doesn't appear they ever did their own investigation nor did they ever respond to my requests for reimbursement. I think this should be investigated given the number of claims online about this issue and that it appears to be a manufacturer defect. In all the cars my family and I have had over the years, none of them ever had an issue like this.

ON 12/24/2025 I found a foot long stress crack on the passenger side of the windshield. I was a National Glass Association Technician for 10 years I can tell the difference between a stress crack and an impact crack. There is no reason for this 2023 vehicle to have a stress crack with only 38,000 miles. Apparently, this is an ongoing issue all one needs to do is google the condition to see there is a problem with these vehicles and windshield stress cracks. My concern is what is the underlying reason causing these stress cracks and is it a larger safety issue as I believe the manufacture most likely knows.

This make/model/year has many issues of windshield cracking. My car windshield was fine, no issues, I went to the garage to uncover it to drive and there was a crack among the passenger edge about 9 inches. I researched if this was a recall/known issue. No recall but many many issues amongst owners of this car, in the exact same location for no apparent reason. They are saying it IS a build issue. Window cracking in Dodge Challengers, especially 2023 models, is a widespread issue linked to potential body flexing/twisting from manufacturing defects, causing stress cracks in the windshield; it's often a factory/assembly defect, not just typical wear. Dodge will NOT fix my windshield, they state there is only a 12 month glass warranty. I purchased my car in May of 2024. It only has 3000 miles on it and there is NO evidence of debris causing this. If you google, you will see how bad this is and it is affecting these cars everywhere.

I know this has probably been posted. Driving last night with the wife and I smell fuel. Then the gas gauge starts to drop from full to empty in less than 3 minutes. I pull over, the car shuts down. I see fuel on the passenger side , just in front of the tire. Get the car safely towed home. I pop the back seat and remove the access cover for the fuel pump. See picture. This is how I found the fuel line. The green locking tab was not locked. Even though theirs a green paint mark to confirm the fuel line is secure. Obviously not. The locking tab barely engages and is so easy to move to the unlocked position with no effort at all. Stellantis should be embarrassed that a vehicle left their plant in an unsafe condition. Either the locking tab was not engaged fully or in my opinion a terrible design. It should lock with some effort. With the high pressure the fuel system is under there should be a better locking mechanism. This is a poor design. My car is not modified, has only 2,000 miles on it and has never been tracked. To me a design flaw or piss poor installation tech is responsible. The car could have caught on fire and hurt someone if it was in my garage. These lines should use aircraft style fasteners for the fuel lines, especially at the top of the pump. I have seen at least 12 other instances like this online. That means there are many more. There needs to be a recall that changes the fuel pump and a much more reliable fastening and locking system. These car were and are

Front windshield on the passenger side developed a stress crack. There is no impact mark and the crack developed while turning a corner. Hopefully this doesn't mean that there is a deeper issue with the frame. This is a common issue on this year and model specifically that many have been complaining about on online forums. The crack grew from 5 inches to over a foot long within an hour. Others have said this will continue to grow horizontally until it splits the glass in two. I own a 2023 Dodge Challenger R/T with approximately 9,200 miles. Recently, while the vehicle was parked, I discovered a significant crack in the front windshield originating from the passenger side edge with a length of approximately 10 inches. Notably, there are no visible signs of impact, such as rock chips or debris damage, indicating the crack developed spontaneously. This sudden failure compromises the structural integrity of the windshield, potentially reducing protection in the event of a collision and distorting visibility, thereby posing a safety risk. I took the vehicle to Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Concord, NC, where the dealership visually confirmed the crack. However, they denied warranty coverage, citing that the issue occurred beyond the 12-month coverage window. No prior warning lights, messages, or symptoms indicated any issues before the windshield cracked. Upon researching, I found that other owners of 2023 Dodge Challengers have reported similar spontaneous windshield cracks without any impact, suggesting a potential manufacturing defect. For instance, a user on a Challenger forum reported a 6-inch crack on the passenger side of their windshield, which appeared without any impact and extended halfway across the windshield by the end of the day. I believe this issue may be related to inadequate windshield adhesion or stress from body flex, possibly due to manufacturing defects. I am submitting this complaint to bring attention to a potential safet

Once the cruise control or adaptive cruise control is set, there is no indication as to what the speed is set to on the display. The only way to find out what it was set to is to turn off the cruise control then set a new speed. Also, when increasing or decreasing the speed control, there is nothing to indicate the new speed in the display. You must count how many times you press the + or - speed button to calculate the new speed. I believe this is a big driving distraction and could be potentially dangerous. You could also accidentally set the speed faster that you thought. All other cars with cruise control that I have owned or rented show the set speed on the display. According to online Dodge Challenger forums, this is a common complaint with this year and model car as well as others. The forum indicates that this may be a programming error/oversight. It has been into the dealer a couple times for several days. They confirmed that it happens on my car and all the cars in their lot of the same year and model. Stellantis stated that this was done by design since 2019 even though the owner's manual says the speed should show on the display. This issue has been present since I purchased the car in September 2023 and continues to this day. I, and others, would like the manufacturer to fix this problem. They acknowledge the issue exist, but continue to ignore it and refuse to fix it.

When the manual cruise control or the adaptive cruise control is engaged, the speed setting is not displayed as indicated by the user manual of the vehicle. This provides a hazard when using the cruise control, as it creates a situation where you can engage cruise or adaptive cruise without knowing what the speed it is set to, and could potentially result in a collision. Additionally, when adjusting the speed setting of the cruise control, it is you can't see what the speed is adjusted to. This speed setting is displayed on older versions of the vehicle (I previously owned a 2019 challenger that displayed the setting). I have not yet taken the vehicle to the dealer, but have found multiple accounts online of other 2023 Dodge Challengers experiencing the same problem. It would appear to be a software issue, as the manual and adaptive cruise controls function normally other than not being able to see the set speed. Filed Mar 14, 2024GA
The passenger side seat does not return to the "home" position when the "easy entry" handle is used to enter the rear seat from the door opening (the vehicle is a 2 door). Therefore, the seat slams into the knees of the passenger seated behind the passenger causing injury. Therefore, after the rear passenger enters, when the front passenger tries to return the seat to its starting position, the seat slides along the rails all the way till it hits the final stops. This happens regardless of the starting position of the seat along the rails. So, for example, if the seat is adjusted to be all the way forward, once the easy entry handle is used, the seat will slide all the way back on the rails and will lock in the final position. The only exception seems to be if the seat back is returned to its home position first, prior to sliding the seat back. Even in that case, the seat still slides back further than its initial home position. if passengers aren't careful, the vehicle begins to move before the seat is locked into position, and now, with the full weight of the front passenger, the seat slides back and crashes into the knees of the passenger causing injury.

At less than 1000 miles on the odometer, my brakes were seizing up after the car was parked in the carport for a week without being driven. When I would go to back the car up, the brakes were stuck. After they popped loose and I started driving down the road we heard a clunking noise. Upon inspection, we noted that some of the front brake pad material [semi-metallics], both left and right, had broken off of the pad and adhered to the rotors. If I had continued driving the car like this, it would have etched a very large groove into the rotors. A brand new, very expensive car, should not experience issues like this. Had I needed to replace the rotors, it would have cost over $1000. We replaced the brake pads to ceramics to keep this from happening again. Since doing so, I have had no issues. I have been on forums and this is not a one-off. Others have experienced the same issue. The brake rotors themselves were rusty when I took receipt of the car after ordering it from a dealer.
