My 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, LT Trail Boss, did not include a printed version of the Owner's Manuals and Guides. I have experienced issues with using automatic Car Washes with the truck lurching while inside the Car wash, the online version of the manual is difficult to use at times when internet access is unavailable. My VIN is not listed in the recall N252532020. Another issue is with the Driver's Seat, the retainer for the leather upholstery keeps popping off under the seat that can cause it to become caught in the seat's mechanics.
The contact called on behalf of a leased 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 company vehicle. The contact stated that on multiple occasions, upon depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to respond as intended or required significant force to come to a complete stop. No warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted due to company policy, and the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 71,413.
I purchased this vehicle brand new and have experienced a recurring issue when coming to a stop. The forward sensors activate indicating I am too close to an object (even though nothing is in front of the vehicle), and the engine stalls. Everything shuts off except the driver information screen, which displays the prompt "Shift to Neutral and Press Start Again." Following this prompt does nothing; I have to shift into park and press the ignition again to restart the vehicle. I have taken the truck to the dealership multiple times. After the first two visits yielded no solution, the maintenance team contacted Chevy engineering, and a hard reset was performed. However, today (8/24), a similar issue occurred. While at a complete stop with a full car length between my truck and the vehicle ahead, the sensor warnings activated. The engine did not stall as it had before, but the issue seemed entirely random.
On or about XXX the engine in my 2026 Chevrolet Silverado quit running so I had it towed to Daniels Long Chevrolet in [XXX] where I had purchased it new on or about XXX. My truck was bought with the 6.2 L V8 engine, and it had approximately 8,627 miles on it when the engine had quit running on XXX. The first oil change on the truck was performed at approximately 5,000 miles at Daniels Long Chevrolet with the prescribed oil. There was no warning when the engine quit running other than the engine running rough and having a loss of power about two blocks from my house. I then had the truck towed to Daniels Long Chevrolet for repairs. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The engine began to make a metallic screeching sound and began to loose power. Stopped on side of road and was towed to dealer. Dealer indicated there was metal in the oil filter. Engine was replaced.
The contact owns a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop in the middle of the road and the vehicle shut off. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on four separate occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure or find a fault code associated with the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was also informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V289000 (POWER TRAIN). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 900.
After grocery shopping, I was putting items into the back seat on the floor of the truck. I lifted the seats to allow for more room. I went to push an item to the far side of the truck to allow for more room. During this action, I put my left hand down with my knuckles facing the floor to provide leverage. without realizing where I was putting my hand, I placed the middle segment of my ring finger directly on the edge of the mechanical-jack and put my weight onto it. The jack is not covered and is black (the same color as the carpet). The edge of the jack has sharp burrs. As a result, I was cut across the entire middle segment of my ring finger and slightly on the knuckle of my middle finger.
I was making a sharp turn going about 6 miles an hour. The vehicle suddenly stalled and shifted to neutral. A message appeared on the dash stating, “Please restart vehicle.” The vehicle restarted without issue and no error codes were displayed.
The contact owns a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30-40 MPH, the liftgate opened unexpectedly. The contact pulled over to the right side of the road, exited the vehicle, and closed the liftgate; however, the failure persisted. There was no warning light illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the diagnostic result was unknown. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 5,070.
Tailgate keeps randomly opening when driving down the road. Vehicle was taken to a Chevrolet dealership for them to address. GM denied warranty claim and will not provide anything in writing. This is a huge safety concern for a work truck that hauls tools and equipment on a daily basis. And the fact that GM will not give anything in writing on the denial is absolute BS.
I just purchased this vehicle on XXX and on XXX, with less than 300 miles on it, we were in a parking garage at the Galleria Mall in [XXX]. While driving slowly uphill in the garage looking for a parking space, the vehicle suddenly went into neutral and the engine shutoff. After verifying all was well, I restarted the truck and continued to drive. It happened two more times with the same situation, low speed going uphill. I have not taken it to a Chevy dealer yet for diagnostic as there were no lights like the check engine light and no codes presented. My onstar app reports that all is well and no issues, so I know it will not be something they can find when they try to pull the codes. I did a search on the internet for this issue and found others with the same problem, no known fix, and in one case the person was able to return the truck and they purchased a different truck from a different manufacturer. That gentleman said he did try to work with GM at the regional level with a service rep. He said something is causing the voltage to drop in lower gears, causing it to invoke a safety feature to stop the vehicle by going into neutral and shutting off the engine. On an incline, with no engine, the brakes become very hard to push and the vehicle could roll back. In a parking garage, that could mean rolling back into a person or another car. When it happens there are in internal codes that do not show up, but are wiped when you re-start. There are threads on Reddit and in Faceb
I purchased a 2026 Chevrolet 1500 Duramax Deisel truck. At 9500 miles the truck started making popping and loud grinding noises and would shake while driving it. I barely made it to the dealership on August 6th 2026 I took it to Group 1 Chevrolet where I bought it in Houston,Texas and on August 8th was told that they need to replace the engine and do not have an estimated time for repair.
2026 Chevy Silverado High Country with 13,193 miles 6.2 engine locked up on 7/29/26 and is currently at my dealer waiting on engine replacment. GM has not fixed the 6.2 liter engine failure issue's!
The engine in my 2026 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 with the 6.2L V8 had a catastrophic failure. While I was driving, the engine suddenly shut off and seized without any warning. The dealer told me they found metal in the engine oil and oil filter and that the engine needs to be replaced. They also informed me the replacement engine is on back order for more than five weeks. The truck is available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My truck lost all power while I was driving, which put me and other drivers at risk because it happened without warning. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The dealer inspected the truck and confirmed the engine had an internal failure. They found metal in the engine oil and oil filter and said the engine must be replaced. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The truck has been inspected by the dealer. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No. There were no warning lights, messages, or other signs of a problem before the engine failed.
I suspect the automatic emergency braking suddenly activated while backing into my driveway. The truck abruptly stopped as if i crashed into something. The driveway was completely empty there was no reason for the vehicle to activate that system if that's even what happened. The dealer was no help i figuring out the issue they made no attempt to even try and diagnose it. I've since deactivated automatic emergency cross traffic braking and it has not happened since.
While using the adaptive cruise on the highway the truck will rapidly slow down as is there is something in it path even though nothing is there. This has happened multiple times on the expressway now and I can no longer use adaptive cruise for fear of what it will try and do.
The engine (6.2 liter) on my Chevrolet Silverado fail with less than 2335 miles. It was confirmed my the Chevrolet dealership(Hendricks Chevrolet ). No warning lamps appeared in the dash or warning from my onstar maintenance notification.
On XXX I leased this 2026 Silverado and I have discovered that this truck tramlines, basically rocks side to side on roads with longitudinal grooves in the concrete, meaning lines that go the same way you're driving, the truck will violently swag side to side. I have been pushed into oncoming traffic from this. On 7/17.26 I took my truck to Fox Chevrolet of [XXX] to get service about this issue. I took the general manager of theirs, Marc and he confirmed the issue. He said he would send the DOT number to GM and wait for their reply. He called me on 7/20 saying that GM informed him that this has been reported by others and there's nothing GM is willing to do and to just deal with it. I told him that I find that unacceptable and it needs to be looked at my someone higher up. He passed this to his service manager since he's going on vacation for the next week, Ron. Ron called me and said that he talked to the local dealer rep and that he claims there's a law that says GM can't change tires that didn't come on the truck and that this is a known issue with these tires and again to just deal with it. This is completely unacceptable and flat out dangerous! I had a 2024 Silverado before this truck and it never did it. It had different tires than this truck and that's my argument is the tires are the problem. The manufacturer, Michelin even said that the solution is to get different tires and it's known on these ones. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FO
At approximately 3,000 miles, the engine began making a loud knocking noise that became progressively worse while driving. The truck was diagnosed as needing a complete engine replacement. No warning lights, no check engine light, nothing. For someone inexperienced with vehicles, you could easily be in big trouble on the highway and a potentially life threatening situation. My primary concern is that there was no warning that such a major engine failure was about to occur. An engine that fails with so few miles raises concerns about the possibility of sudden loss of power, loss of acceleration, or engine seizure while driving in traffic, on highways, or while towing. A failure under those conditions could significantly increase the risk of a crash. The vehicle has been out of service while I continue making loan and insurance payments on a brand-new truck that I cannot use. The replacement engine is on national backorder, leaving me without a clear repair timeline. After researching this issue, I found numerous reports from other owners describing similar failures involving the 6.2L V8 engine. Based on the volume of owner complaints, there appears to have been a significant increase in reported engine failures involving 2026 model-year vehicles. This suggests the problem may not be an isolated incident but instead could indicate a broader defect that deserves investigation. As a result of this experience, I no longer feel confident or safe driving this vehicle, even if the en
A.The engine is stalling while driving. This has happened four different times. Three times while towing, and one time while backing up a small hill. This is a scary situation because three of the four times almost caused an accident. 1.We were driving to Texas, pulling a pontoon boat. While exiting the highway, we were entering into an intersection at a speed of about 10 miles per hour, and the truck shut down. The truck said, “Start the motor and place it into gear.” Or something similar to that. 2.We were in stop-and-go traffic on the highway, and the truck shut down. Once again, I had to restart the motor and shift into gear. 3.We were entering a parking lot from the main road, and the truck shut down. Again, I had to restart the motor and shift into gear. 4.The three times above are during a time when we were towing. The fourth time is when we were backing up a small hill. The rear tires lost traction and spun for a second or two, and then the truck shut down and started to roll forward. Once again, I had to restart the motor and place it into gear.
I have been having issues with my vehicle for the last 1,000 miles or so where it appears to be losing power while accelerating normally, i'm not sure if the issue lies with the engine or powertrain/transmission. I took to dealer last week and they were unable to reproduce. The issues have been getting more frequent and intially were only occuring after the vehicle warmed up, now it has started while vehicle is cold. Feels like the power drops (rpms drop) during a normal acceleration. As of 7/16 I now have a check engine light on, onstar indicates an issue with my engine, transmission, electrical. This is putting myself at safety risk along with others as during my normal drive the engine is losing power and could either leave me stranded or cause an accident.
The forward collision warning is excessively sensitive to vehicles and pedestrians. I've had the alert go off recently for something so simple as pulling into a parking spot. It goes off frequently just driving past pedestrians and throughout what I consider to be normal driving where I am not coming close to a collision with a vehicle. It is very unsettling and startling when the alert goes off indicating that I am coming close to a collision with a vehicle or a pedestrian. I had a 2023 Silverado 1500 LT/2.7 Turbomax engine and it was not this sensitive. I fear that this may actually cause an accident at some point or if the emergency braking were to activate with another vehicle behind me.
On Monday, June 29, 2026, I was getting off the New Jersey Garden State Parkway. I was halfway down the exit ramp and the engine and the engine just stopped. I coasted to the bottom of the exit ramp and luckily had just enough shoulder to pull over to get out of traffic. Once stopped, I attempted to start my 2026 Chevy Silverado, but all attempts at starting the engine were fruitless, as the engine would not even turn over when tried. I contacted On Star and a tow truck was sent to tow my truck to Burke, the GM dealer I purchased the truck from. It was confirmed by Burke GM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, that the truck needed the engine replaced. The truck is currently at Burke GM and I have been there to get belongings out of the truck so yes, I would say it’s safe to assume that it is available for inspection. There were no warning signs of any problem with the motor at all.
On XXX I was driving from [XXX] to my sister's house in [XXX]. I was relocating to [XXX] for a job. I was pulling a U-haul trailer (6x12) that contained significantly less weight than the truck can handle. About halfway there, on back roads, the truck suddenly slowed significantly and the gas pedal was unresponsive. The light in the dashboard read Reduced Acceleration - Drive with caution. Pulled over, turned off truck, opened driver side door, to reset the truck (read this on google). We had to do this a couple times, because it would just go back to that behavior after a bit. We made it to my sister's house to stay the night. In the morning, XXX, I called the local Chevy Service Dept in [XXX] and asked if I could bring it in, I described the problem. During the drive to the shop, the same issue occurred. Upon arriving at the service dept, the Trailer app was giving a warning that the load may be heavier than max. Which cannot be true. The dealer techs said they had never seen anything like it before, but they seemed to know what to look for. They then informed me that they could not loan me a car because I was traveling out of state. I had a deadline, so my only option was to rent a U Haul box truck, unload the back of my truck into it, hitch the trailer I already had to it, and drive to [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
2026 SILVERADO ENGINE BLOWED UP AT 6,413 MILES. THIS IS THE 6.2 L87 ENGINE..
While driving my truck returning from a camping trip I received the following warnings in the dash: Service ESC, Service traction control, forward collision system unavailable. Check engine light was flashing. I made the assumption that the Check engine light was due to the warnings listed above. I continued to drive the vehicle until I began to feel a very noticeable shudder at idle, at low speeds, and also loss of power at higher speeds. The truck has the 5.3 ecotec engine with DFM. After researching the symptoms, I found that these symptoms are identical to the know lifter problem with that engine. The truck is a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado Trail boss with approx. 3454 miles on it. It's currently at the dealership waiting for them to "diagnose" the problem. I was told that it may just be a "faulty sensor", but after reading other people's experience with this engine I believe that the real problem is a damaged lifter/lifter pin due to the poor design and engineering of the DFM system
The contact owns a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving 25 MPH and attempting to depress the accelerator pedal, the vehicle lost motive power, the contact attempted to start the vehicle, and the vehicle operated as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed; however, the diagnostic result was unknown. The dealer cleared the codes, and the vehicle was then taken to another dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the ground strap needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the part was on back order and might take six months for the part to do the repair to be available. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000.
This incident occurred 24, June 2024. Time was approx 1745hrs and temperature was 93 and humid. Was stopped at a stop sign, attempted to make a phone call and reached to temporarily turn off the air conditioner by pushing the on/off button. When I pushed the button, it turned off the vehicle engine completely! When I was startled as to what had just happened, I pushed the air conditioner button a second time; It STARTED the truck's vehicle engine! I repeated this test three times in the presence of my spouse who was also in the truck. We then drove approximately one mile and at a second stop again was able to duplicate the engine turned off/on by pushing the air conditioner on off again! It was if the air conditioner on/off button was the vehicle start stop button. I did not try to duplicate this under roadway speed, fearing if the engine did in fact turn off, simply by pushing the on/off air conditioner button. It would most assuredly result in the complete loss of driver inputs for steering, brakes and control.
Service brake assist warning came on the day before a severe audible engine knock started. Drove to nearest dealer and they immediately diagnosed as a probable engine failure/engine bearing/connecting rod. 6.2 liter engine 9500 miles
The contact owns a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while reversing, the back over prevention camera failed to function as needed. The contact stated that there was no image displayed while shifted into reverse. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,000.
Normal driving then heard a knocking and squealing. Was told it was a spun main bearing on the crack shaft.
Defect: Engine failure caused by lifter and camshaft failure at 114 miles (5.2 engine hours). The vehicle is at the dealership undergoing warranty repairs. The service department confirmed a seized lifter, necessitating the replacement of all lifters and the camshaft. The incident occurred at highway speeds on the interstate when the engine suddenly began knocking loudly. Immediately after the knocking started, the check engine light illuminated, followed by consecutive "Service Anti-Collision System" and "Service ESC (Electronic Stability Control)" warning messages.
Vehicle purchased new December 2026 and vehicle experienced loss of power and abnormal shifting while driving at only 9000 miles. Engine produced clicking noises and was immediately brought to the closest dealership. Vehicle has been out of service since May 8, 2026, with no repair completion date due to parts availability. Owner continues making payments and insurance payments while without use of the vehicle. Owner has not been given a comparable vehicle which is a huge hardship for the family, especially during farming season. Concern exists regarding ongoing reliability and reports of similar failures involving GM 6.2L engines.
Auto wash truck quit, dead would not restart, tow service disconnected battery and reset. Okay after. Visit to dealer service they said nothing wrong. Driving yesterday in the rain quit 4 times on the road driving, it would restart each time. Warning on the dash would flash at times "Hands on the wheel" while driving ? This is a serious safety issue. Intermittent when it gets wet, new truck, 1,800 miles, no alterations. Dealer service no help, it has hard codes, CAN Bus communication issue, water intrusion likely cause, we are afraid to operate on the road, help please.
The contact owns a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, there was an abnormally loud pinging sound coming from the engine. The vehicle lost motive power, the brakes and the steering wheel became inoperable. The message "Depress Start" was displayed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was initially diagnosed that the battery failure was unsoldered. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. While being test-driven by the mechanic, the vehicle stalled. After further investigation, it was determined that the engine needed to be replaced due to the main bearing failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, opened a case and informed the contact that a case worker, near his location, would contact him in 24 hours. The failure mileage was approximately 9,025.
I started the vehicle in the morning, and noticed a knocking noise from deep inside the engine. Took the vehicle to the dealership, the knocking be turned into squealing and grinding and banging, check engine light came on, and vehicle died in front of the service department door. I’m an experienced auto technician and know that that was a connecting rod bearing knock. And now need a new engine on a vehicle with 919 miles on it.
2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab RST with the RST select package. The "Chrome-Like" trim inside and outside reflective the sunlight badly and depending on travel direction and Sun position, horrible reflection appears and momentary blinds you. It is very comparable to having the sunlight reflect off a mirror and into the driver's face. There are two different areas of "chrome-like" trim in the middle of the dash that shine directly into your face, occasionally it will shine and reflect into the driver's side rear view mirror and place and line across the mirror, which impedes the viewing through the mirror. The reflection also occurs off the Chevrolet symbol off the middle of the steering wheel, this one is not as bad as the others, but still annoying. The reflection various and the pictures don't show how intense and bad it really is. The Chrome "Turbomax" emblem was removed from the hood because that would reflect and shine back into the truck. Is there anyway to pass new rules to stop having highly reflective materials on the interior and exteriors of vehicles.
The contact owns a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that the message "Service Brake Assist" was illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the message was reset on several occasions. Additionally, the dealer determined that the failure was possibly due to a low voltage issue, and the vehicle was operating as designed. The contact stated that the failure had recurred. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that a towing agent would towed the vehicle to their location. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 85.
Turn signals do not provide any audio signal letting you know they are on and working. GM is unable to correct issue.

Purchased truck in May of 2026 from Chevy dealer. Truck had around 1500 miles on it. Within 1 week the truck was shifting, very roughly, for no apparent reason making it lurch. I brought it to a local Chevy dealer, who ran it, showing a fault. I got the truck back from the dealer, who said tech had looked at it, and cleared the "fault" that was showing up. less than 1 week after that, the truck started doing the same thing, and I am bringing it back to the local Chevy dealer this week. The dealer I purchased the truck from said it was a trade in because the owner didn't like the truck. I'm concerned the dealer I bought the truck from may have known about the problem when I purchased the truck, and this may be the 3rd time that the truck has been back to a Chevy dealer for this problem. I looked on line and found Chevy has has hundreds of thousands of recalls on this 6.2 liter L87 engine, and there is a class action suit involving this engine from previous years, as well as hundreds of complaints regarding the 2026 version of this engine.
I am writing regarding an ongoing and serious issue with my 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST 2.7L that continues to occur despite multiple visits to the dealership. Recently, as I was leaving my house, I entered my truck and started the vehicle as normal. Immediately after startup, approximately eight warning lights and system failure messages appeared on the dashboard simultaneously. The warnings included the Check Engine Light, ABS warning, Brake System Failure, Service Steering Column Lock, Service Traction Control, Service ESC, Service Brake Pad Monitor, and Trailer Brake Disabled warnings. At that point, the truck became undriveable. Although I was able to shift gears, the vehicle would not move properly in either Drive or Reverse. Due to the severity of the issue, I turned the truck off and left it parked overnight. The following day, all warning lights and messages had disappeared completely. This situation is extremely concerning because the vehicle appears to fail randomly without warning. I no longer feel safe driving the truck, especially with my children in the vehicle, because I fear it could stop functioning again at any time and potentially create a dangerous situation. I have already taken the truck to the dealership multiple times regarding this issue. However, I have repeatedly been told that they cannot properly diagnose or repair the problem unless the warning lights are actively present at the time of inspection. Since the issue is intermittent, this has
2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Safety Issue Summary: I am filing a complaint regarding critical safety defects with my vehicle. The truck displayed warning messages for traction control service and brake system failure on the instrument panel while parked in my driveway, prior to the vehicle becoming inoperable, I experienced dangerous driving conditions including swerving similar to hydroplaning on two separate occasions. Details: The vehicle was picked up on a flatbed on May 11th, 2026 because it would not start or run. When I drove it before this incident, I experienced the vehicle swerving dangerously similar to hydroplaning on two different occasions 5/1/26 and 5/9/26. Upon inspection, warning messages appeared on the dashboard indicating traction control system service and brake system failure. These are critical safety systems. Chevrolet HE Dealership in Wichita Falls, Texas performed a diagnostic and claimed to find only a dead battery and parasitic draw. They refuse to address the traction control or brake system failures and claim they cannot duplicate the issues. They are pressuring me to accept the vehicle without written confirmation that these safety systems have been repaired. Safety Risk: A vehicle with non-functioning traction control and brake system failures is unsafe to operate. I cannot accept this vehicle until these critical systems are properly diagnosed and repaired.Than you for your help in this matter.
Engine failed on 5/8/26 with 1794 miles. Sounds like possible main bearing failure, engine had 18psi oil pressure. Signs were, knocking, banging, screeching/squealing internally from engine. No codes or check engine lights appeared. Was driving approximately 35-40 MPH on mountainous paved road. Managed to limp truck to safe pull off area and turned off engine. Had truck towed to dealership. If truck would have died on road I was driving on, it could have been bad. Road is very narrow with numerous blind spots.
My vehicle has 3416 miles on it. I was at a stop light, busy intersection, and it just died. It would not restart or go into neutral to push it to the side of the road. I had it towed to the dealership, and found out theres a bulletin on these motors. [XXX] . Why would I buy something when its been a know issue with the manufacturer since 2025. I feel as if the manufacturer is selling these units and once this happens its the consumers loss. I cannot believe the manufacturer has not issued a recall. If that were too happens there would be a lot of lemon laws and there lawyers know not to go down that road. There fix is to give me a refurbished engine!! How can that be constitutional knowing there's been a problem with this engine and now my resale value just went down. If I knew what I know now I would of purchased used because thats what im getting in return which is consumer robbery. On April 11, 2026, my 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 experienced a catastrophic engine failure while traveling on a public highway. The sudden loss of power created a significant safety hazard and could have resulted in a serious accident. I was able to maintain control and avoid a crash. The vehicle was towed to a dealership and diagnosed as requiring a full engine replacement. The vehicle has been inoperable for over 19 days, leaving my wife and me stranded far from our home in Texas. This failure occurred without warning at highway speed and presents a serious safety concern that should be investigated.
