TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 YAMAHA YZF600. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SEIZE WITHOUT WARNING WHILE THE GEAR WAS SWITCHING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SHIFT LEVER BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFT FORK AND GEARS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 19,000.
