My Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 is doing the same thing as the ones under recall are, even though mine doesn't fall under the recall. The recall stops at the year 2020, and mine is a 2023. The cruise control will suddenly shut off, always after using the front brake lever. I've narrowed it down to the front brake micro switch, that deactivates the cruise and activates the brake light. This is the exact same problem on the bikes under the recall, but Yamaha refuses to do anything about it because it's not under the recall notice. I attached a recall notice that I found online, showing that a recall was valid for previous years. Having the cruise shut down unexpectedly is not safe, when running in traffic

Reading this record

No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.

Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
