Enterprise rented me recalled car. I asked about check engine light and they said it was for oil change. Kept for 30 days renting it twice.

The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Above stated recall has not been fixed, recall notice came out in August and is still an issue,Toyota dealer of Daytona Florida
I was on the road and suddenly the dashboard came on and showed several faults. I took it to the dealership and they told me that the alternator was no longer working and my truck is now 3 months old at the Toyota dealership.
My truck’s windows (all 4) have terrible seals (not tight to window) that are allowing water to enter door. Windows have a jerk motion when wet and lowering. Moisture is present inside the cab on windows. Rear windows are extremely loose and can be a potential safety issue (I have video). Risk can fall on rear passengers because of instability of windows. Repair tech stated in report that there was an issue with windows by reproducing same motions with new trucks on lot (I have video from Toyota tech). Just inspected by dealer. No warning lamps. I have been trying to resolve this with Toyota Corp. with no further details of solution. I have all correspondence.
Regarding my 2023 Toyota Tundra. The passenger side front window is non-operational, having come off the track and proving impossible to raise. Upon consulting the dealership, it was determined that the Regulator and Motor for the window require replacement. It has come to my attention that this issue is not isolated to my vehicle, as numerous reports on social media platforms highlight a recurring problem with faulty windows in this model. The prevalence of inoperable windows, whether stuck in the up or down position, poses a potential hazard. I urge the NHTSA to investigate and address this matter promptly to ensure the safety of all Toyota Tundra drivers and passengers.
The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that the vehicle was not obtaining the correct fuel mileage. The contact stated that, while tracking the mpg, the vehicle was averaging 15.7 mpg. The difference was approximately twenty percent less than the sticker mpg. The contact stated that the mpg sticker stated that the mpg would be 20 mpg. The contact stated that when the vehicle was purchased, he was not provided two keys. The contact stated that while his wife was using the key, the key detached and was lost. The chip was still in the fob, and the contact was able to open the vehicle. The contact stated he was concerned about not having an additional key. The contact was unable to obtain the second key for the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who test drove the vehicle and the vehicle was averaging 12.2 miles while driving in the town. The dealer informed the contact that the extra batteries in the vehicle might account for the difference in mpg. The dealer completed a wellness check and informed the contact that the vehicle was working as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 50.
When I drive the vehicle for a period of time and use a 1/3 of the fuel in the vehicle and park on non level surface: Meaning the front of the vehicle is pointed up and rear is lower the fuel gauge will register full on vehicle restart. Even if I drive the vehicle around and park it on a level surface and restart the vehicle it still fails to show the correct amount of fuel in the vehicle. In addition it will slowly subtract fuel based upon driving that is inline with normal fuel usage: It never registers that you are actually 1/3 lower then indicated on the gas gauge. I have identify two ways to address the issue of the gauge not registering the correct amount of fuel in the tank: 1) Refill the truck with maximum amount of fuel 2) Disconnect the negative battery terminal, let the truck sit for 30 seconds, and then reconnect the negative battery terminal. It will then register the correct amount of fuel in the truck The safety concern is I could run out of gas in unsafe manner on the road.
A few complaints: #1: First is the infotainment system continuously requests a pin be entered. I would enter the pin, but the pin screen pops up again and again whenever the system is on. Had the dealership look at it, they stated the info system has the latest software and I was instructed to contact Toyota. After a 2+hour phone call, resetting app passwords a few times, resetting pin a few times, starting the truck a certain way, and other things I cannot completely remember, finally got it to accept the pin and stop pin request screen from popping up. That worked for about 1 week, and since then the screen pops up. I no longer try to enter the pin just hit the x button (kind of hard and dangerous entering 6 digit pin 30 times while going 75 on the highway). I would estimate screen popping up about every 1-2 minute. #2: Truck has 6,400 miles on it, brakes started squealing around 4k miles or less, getting progressively worse. I have tried washing brake dust away at car wash, no help. Sounds like when a car is getting to the last of the brakes. Are they that worn in 6k miles, I hope not, but how am I supposed to know when or if they need to be replaced? Very annoying, and dangerous since I can't rely on the brakes squealing to let me know need replaced. #3: 1 week ago after stopping at a red light, about 5 seconds passed when the truck jerked violently and slightly moved forward, all while I had the brake pedal pressed. It was so hard I was certain I had just got rear ended,
In some cases when slowing down to a very low speed an trying to to accelerate again. There can be either a brief (1/2 second) or a very long ( > 1/2 second) delay between pressing the accelerator and the engine responding. Because of this delay its very hard to gauge when and how the vehicle will respond. In some conditions this can be a safety concern as the vehicle behaves unpredictably. I was able to verify this with engine logging data the data shows that the computer acknowledges the accelerator position but fails to advance the throttle or by any means add power for a period of time and then behaves in a expected manner after a delay between 1/2 to 1 second. The best I can gather the problem happens in a timing window when the transmission shifts from a higher gear to 1st gear. I took into the dealer who also verified the concern and opened a TAS case with Toyota. TAS took my data but provided no information or guidance to the dealership.
When attempting to accelerate, the vehicle idles down and fails to accelerate for a period of 2-3 seconds. To initiate normal acceleration, fully depressing the accelerator pedal is required vs. a gradual depression of the pedal.
On multiple occasions my fuel gauge has randomly reset from 3/4 full to above full. Had I not noticed this change I could have run out of gas. Toyota refuses to do anything about this and I have reported this to corporate and two different dealerships. Taken it in for repairs 4 times. They tell me there is nothing they can do???
Fuel Gauge is always showing incorrect levels. When fueld up to full at times the gauge will show 1/2 tank to 1/4. Then other times if I know I have 1/4 tank of fuel left the gauge will show as full tank. Very unreliable and concerned whether I have a fuel leak or what not
When parked on a slight incline facing uphill (~5°) fuel gauge began reading full. Fuel level prior to parking was 1/2 tank. Fuel gauge was stuck reading full for several days. Dealership unable to resolve.
Unknown. No incident yet. Concerned driving far. Recalls been 4 month and no action yet. Would like a refund of my money or a replacement vehicle. Also my tailgate feel off my tire pressure system comes on and tires are fine vehicle is a lemon.
Vehicle leaked fuel onto the garage floor. This is a fire hazard for my home and the hybrid vehicle. The dealership is currently inspecting the issue, and have stated they could not find the source of the leak at this time. There were no warning messages or lamps.
I have been getting my Tundra alignment done every other month since I purchased it brand new and have actually run out of warranty on the alignments and have been coming out of pocket ever since. The vehicle pulls quite aggressively to the right unless extra pressure is applied to the left side of the steering wheel. It has steadily gotten worse after every alignment and I can’t even pull an empty trailer with a truck that has the towing package. I spoke with the manufacturer who believed that they have “not failed in repairing the vehicle” I am 8 months pregnant and am terrified to drive this vehicle. It sits while I drive my 25 year old beater car that feels safer because it can at least drive straight. All I want is for the manufacturer to take the truck back and return my money as I have no faith that I won’t receive another faulty truck.
The payload sticker is in correct .I did the math using the gross combined weight minus the curb weight and it does not match. There is no added options either that would lesson the payload.went to Koch Toyota they understood the problem but stated they don't know what to do. Any information on what I can do next please let me kno

After the accelerator pedal was depressed to the floorboard, the vehicle responded. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who test drove the vehicle but was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Joseph Airport Toyota (1180 W National Rd., Vandalia, OH 45377) who was unable to duplicate the failure after a test drive. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000. The VIN was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer representative will not offer any more assistance if the vehicle does not experience a hard failure. The vehicle is currently not in use.
My 2023 Toyota Tundra currently has a open recall for the fuel tube rubbing against another near component increasing the risk of fire. The life of my family/public and myself were put at risk every day as this can cause a fire which is life threating. This problem has been confirmed by Toyota however there is no safe remedy for it at the moment. There is also a problem with the suspension/ball joints. Every time I turn the steering wheel while driving forward or reverse there is a clicking noise coming from what appears to be the suspension or ball joints or around that area. That issue has been reported to the local dealer however they cant duplicate that issue, according to the service adviser. There were no warning lamps turned on prior to any of the aforementioned. One thing I did notice was that the gas mileage significantly dropped even though I was driving the same distance. Also at times there is a strong fuel odor after a trip is completed or at times while the truck is operating. I am highly concerned for the safety of my family and others that are around my truck while operating as this fuel tube issue is a cause for an increased risk of fire. Toyota of Seattle is where my truck currently is at however the dealer has yet to fix both issues.
The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that upon refueling the vehicle, the fuel gauge failed to operate as needed. The contact stated that the fuel gauge remained on FULL despite driving for a significant number of miles after the fill-up. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where a service agent reset the system which then showed the correct fuel level. Despite the reset, the failure returned on multiple occasions. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 1,074.
Wear on the plastic fuel tube.
The fuel gage randomly reset to full when there is in fact only half a tank of gas.
There has been a known issue and recall on this vehicle since August with both personal and public life threatening events. Official notifications are just being shared from Toyota with no sight line provided for permanent fix. This causes significant cause for concern and angst in daily driving of the vehicle. If a fix isn’t available, a complete vehicle recall and exchange should be provided as resolution. These are serious life threatening circumstances that could impact myself, my family or innocent bystander. I feel unsafe and hold Toyota and National highway traffic and safety directly liable. The enforcement and the assumed liability by Toyota of delivering a safe vehicle should be upheld.
Before this recall happened we had issues with screen blacking out and crashing even after the recall was “fixed” also the back seat outlet has never worked. The malfunction of the grille shutter and park support brake malfunction came last week and we had to have that fixed. Now this! The dealerships around kansas don’t have loaner vehicles or rentals available. How is this okay?!
This vehicle is dangerous. There are many more, complaint level issues, but there are at least three real safety issues. First, the automatic braking system has engaged multiple times for no reason. Traveling down a straight, flat road in good weather, the brakes suddenly went fully engaged. On one occasion my dog was thrown forcefully into the dash and was injured and then afraid to ride in the truck. It makes me afraid of the truck as well and could have easily caused an accident. Second, there is the known fuel line issue. This could, according to the manufacturer, be a fire risk. However, there's no remedy. So I'm driving around this truck that could catch fire, that likes to slam on the brakes for no reason. Third, there's something wrong with the windshields in these trucks. Mine recently was broken while the vehicle was parked. It just cracked. Just driving it home made the crack quadruple in size. It's unsafe to drive as is. I contacted Toyota and they aren't interested in considering that there's something wrong with the windshields, yet they can't replace it, because they're back ordered due to so many being broken. So I have a truck that slams on the brakes unpredictably, that might catch fire, that the windshield broke for no reason but can't be replaced. I've spoken several times with Toyota corporate about this and they have no answers and keep referring to the dealer who tells me there are no answers and to call toyota. It's a classic runaround while my $70,000
[XXX] - After driving the truck for less than six months (with only one key fob) I was notified via the Toyota mobile app on August 10, that my truck had a safety recall for the fuel line with limited information provided through the Toyota mobile app. At no time was I advised that the vehicle was unsafe to operate. Upon bringing my vehicle into McGeorge Toyota on August 28, 2023 for the standard 5,000-mile service, I requested that the dealer address the recall by making a temporary remedy to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle until the permanent remedy was determined. At that time, the service representative advised me that Toyota (manufacturer), has provided no direction nor materials to make either the temporary or permanent repairs to the truck. I asked what would be done to make this right and they advised me that they would contact me when the remedy was available and there was no additional action at that time. Not feeling satisfied with that unsafe resolution which I interpreted as an implication that I should continue to drive the vehicle until the remedy was available, I called the Toyota Brand Engagement Center and the advocate advised me that I could request a loaner vehicle. Upon speaking with Chris Wiltshire, the service manager at McGeorge, I suggested that the advocate informed me I could request a loaner vehicle. The loaner was not of like kind, function, or value compared to my Tundra. The remedy has not been completed and the truck has been sitting o
The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated while driving at approximately 65 MPH, and at various speeds, the instrument cluster and the radio would stop functioning. The contact stated that the message on the screen stated that a PIN should be entered to be able to view the instrument cluster. The contact stated that the failure had become constant. The contact also stated that the emergency alert, or 911 alert feature, linked to the same system as the radio and instrument cluster also failed to function as designed. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer however, the dealer could not determine the cause of the failure and stated that the system was operating as designed. The vehicle had not been repaired. Additionally, the contact had received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V566000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. The failure mileage for the other electrical system failures was approximately 17,000. VIN tool confirms parts not yet available.

The 2022 and 2023 toyota tundra trd pro model comes out of the factory with the wrong alignment specs from the factory causing Excessive tire wear on the front tires resulting in unsafe driving tires. Toyota has been “fixing the alignment with the wrong specs resulting in not fixing it “ now they have the correct specs but not issuing a recall as they should .
When proceeding ahead from a stop with no one in front of me, after traveling ahead at a normal pace, the emergency braking system activated and the truck came to an abrupt stop. This occurred after traveling about 5 feet and luckily the person behind me did not rear end me. After this panic stop the truck then proceeded ahead as normal. This is the first time this has happened to me since purchased new. Currently has 3870 miles.
While trying to get ahead of traffic at on ramp to freeway power was reduced and check engine light was activated. Pulled over soon after. Turned truck off and sat for a few minutes then turned truck back on Check engine was gone and truck ran normal. This could have been an accident but thankfully I had space to move over and get out of the traffics way.
I was in the right lane on the 15 southbound from mesquite heading towards Las Vegas. Got into the passing lane to pass a semi and all power was lost after cutting over. I had to immediately cut over back to the right lane after passing the semi and pull over to the shoulder. This was a very dangerous situation and I have heard of others with the same vehicle going through the same thing. I do have video evidence of the situation as well. I will contact Toyota tomorrow

It has been over 5 months since receiving the recall notice of the 2023 tundra tonneau cover (23TA03). Dealer asked me to wait for a toyota fix multiple times and then did not respond to further requests for answers solutions or a refund for the part that I did not want. Additionally the bed rails had defects and rust that accumulated inside of the rails and is all over my bed liner indicating potential future rusting issues on the best of the truck. I bought it in December of 2022. Rust was apparent after 3 Months. No reply via phone or email or social media from. Toyota. No solutions yet or refunds issued for an obviously defective and dangerous product. Simply fix is refund for tonneau cover and new bed rails.
Greetings all, This is not my vehicle. It is the vehicle that came to a sudden stop on the [XXX] and I hit. The driver apologized and told me his wife was fiddling with the drive shift lever and accidentally pressed the Park button. Indeed, the 2023 Toyota Tundra driver had been stepping on the brakes (lights on the outside of the flip gate) and switching to reverse (small white lights towards the middle of the bumper) the times I found myself behind it (I had managed to move to the right lane to avoid it a few miles earlier). How does an automatic transmission switch from Drive to Reverse and Park while the vehicle is moving (yes, by then we were going slowly because the driver kept stepping on the brake)? This model does not have mechanical interlocks in the shift lever. It counts on electronic controls. Could it be a burned element in a circuit board? Could it be a defective control card? or a design/programming flaw? Could it have the same parking brake problem that resulted in the recent recall of 870 thousand 2021-2023 Ford F-150s? Could it be something else? Please consider requiring mechanical interlocks for shift levers. Electronics are too sensitive to temperature and humidity and controller failures may become more frequent. Thank you. I fueled my vehicle and once I started my car my fuel gauge remained the same, as if I never put full. I turned off the my vehicle and stared it again. The fuel level still did not change. I went to another pump to see if there was actual fuel from the other pump that went into the vehicle. The other pump stopped right away, signaling I had a full tank. I drove around for 15 minutes but no change to the fuel gauge. I parked the vehicle at home and planned to take it into the dealership the following day, but my fuel gauge corrected it self later displaying a full tank. I’ve seen in the forums this has been a problem. There was no warning lights or CELs upon this problem.
The car auto adaptive cruise control does not use the transmission for downhill breaking. It just rides the brakes coming down now. The car started shaking from overheating the brakes and I said realizing that it just not working in tune with the transmission. This is very dangerous. I have to turn off the cruise control and he manually downshift so break system of start working again. It was shaking so violently wouldn't stop.
I have a 2023 Tundra 1794. From a stop there is a noticeable delay sometimes from the time I press the gas pedal to the time the truck actually starts moving. This has caused me to almost get into two serious accidents because the truck would not go.
The new Tundra most of the features are controlled by the 14-inch Infotainment screen. The screen has gone completely dark and irresponsive to touch, power on/off, and hard reset by the dealership. Given that so many of the truck's safety features are controlled in this system, the vehicle is unsafe to operate. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership for service and beyond the hard reset (disconnect and reconnect the battery) which they've done, they are unable to diagnose what the problem is or how to fix it.
Truck has a frequent delay/ hesitation accelerating from a stop. Also has a situation where when accelerating from low speed (3-5 mph) the transmission feels as though it’s in a very high gear and is therefore sluggish. Both issues cause potential safety hazards in traffic. Truck also has harsh or jerky shifts in lower gears, (my best guess is gears 1-6 although it’s hard to tell because there is no gear display) which causes drive-ability problems. Local dealer told me my truck has the most up to date transmission programming therefore there is nothing they can do. Issues have been present since new.
Catastrophic failure of LTA, cross traffic, blind spot sensors in rear bumper guard. Dealer verified. Informed 3rd 2023 Toyota tundra 4x4 1794 edition affected at dealership. Known issue. Part back ordered 2 weeks. Awaiting vehicle repair.
The pre-collision does not work at all
I was driving down the freeway at about 70MPH when the sunroof exploded above me. The temperature outside was about 70F in Phoenix. Nothing hit the truck. Chunks of glass rained down in moon roof lining and on the bed of the truck.
As I accelerate from a complete stop; i.e from a stop light red to green. I experienced a sudden loss in power and the car does not accelerate through the intersection. It is very dangerous because the vehicle behind me almost rear ended me due the sudden lag/no acceleration.
Fuel gauge was at 3/4 tank. Parked on slight incline for 2 hours. On drive home noticed fuel gauge was reading completely full. Fuel gauge has issues after parking on incline.
Started Tundra pulled away from Garage concrete approach onto level stone driveway saw a large stone applied brake shifted into neutral vehicle stopped opened door released brake started to step out and Tundra began to move ahead stepped back and applied brake then put transmission into Park. On level driveway this truck will move forward in neutral.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
