Over time, the trunk became increasingly difficult to open, progressing from what appeared to be a hands-free sensor issue to requiring a little manual force to open. It can be inspected upon request. The vehicle is not even one year since purchase and has around 8000 miles driven. The dealership has reproduced the issues and states it is an alignment issue between the trunk and the car's body but is unwilling to provide any remedy. They state that there appears to be improper latching of the trunk. There is concern that the trunk could open if the latch continues to wear down to the point of failure from misalignment. There has been no preceding accident or damage that would explain the misalignment.

This is a follow-up complaint regarding my new 2025 Toyota Sienna Hybrid. I am reporting a structural defect involving the vehicle floor and weld area. The issue is visible and affects the alignment and integrity of the floor structure. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Toyota dealer. The dealer declined to repair the defect and stated that the condition is “within factory specifications,” without providing any engineering documentation or safety justification. Due to the location of the defect (floor / weld / body structure), I have serious concerns regarding occupant safety and crash performance, especially in the event of a collision. This is a brand-new vehicle, and no accident or misuse has occurred. Toyota Motor Sales has not provided a satisfactory response or resolution. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue as a potential manufacturing and structural safety concern.

We received notice of our 2025 Toyota Sienna second-row seat rails suspect welds in early December via mailed letter from Toyota. The recall notice was posted on Toyota's website on October 7, 2025. We called our dealership on December 13, 2025 and received no information other than the remedy was not available. It is now the end of January and as far as we can find there is no remedy. Toyota explained that our second-row seats are mounted on seat rails that may have been improperly welded. They "recommend no one sit in or use a child restraint in the second-row seats while the vehicle is moving until the remedy is performed on the vehicle." This impacts our ability to use our car fully. We purchased this vehicle for its capacity and can't take full advantage of this perk.

My 2025 Toyota Sienna Limited is subject to NHTSA Safety Recall25V668 (Toyota Recall No. 25TA12 (Interim Notice 25TB12)) regarding improperly welded second-row seat rails. The recall notice, which was mailed on 11/21/2025 and received by me the first week of December, 2025, states that these welds may fail in a high-speed collision, preventing the seats from restraining occupants and increasing the risk of serious injury. Toyota interim safety instructions advise that second-row seats should not be occupied until repaired. Prior to receiving this notice in the mail from Toyota I was unaware of the defect. There were no service lights or notifications in the car's electronic panel. I have since learned that the notice was issued on 10/7/2025. My vehicle has been grounded at Conicelli Toyota Service Department in Conshohocken, PA since 12/22/2025 - It has been inspected for this defect and to date the service department manager does not have the parts to repair it and cannot give me an expected date for the part to be available and repairs performed. I purchased this vehicle in full on 3/6/2025. Since the recall was issued on 10/7/2025, I have contacted my Toyota dealer several times to inquire on an estimated date for repair of this safety issue. I have also filed a complaint /report with Toyota Brand Engagement Center. As of 1/29/2026, Toyota has failed to provide a definitive date for the repair or a timeline for the availability of replacement parts. I purchased this vehicl

NHTSA Recall No. 25V668 with report date 10/7/25 provided notice that 2nd row seats were deemed unsafe to use by Toyota. We bought this vehicle specifically to be able to use the 2nd and 3rd row seats for our family. Over 3 months later, Toyota still has not provided any update on when remedy will be available for this safety recall. When will they have the remedy available?

We were notified of a safety recall in mid December but they officially released the recall in early October. I have contacted Toyota multiple times with no update. I am filing a complaint regarding a safety recall on my 2025 Toyota Sienna. My vehicle is subject to an active safety recall that affects the second-row seating area. Due to this recall, the second row cannot be safely used. This makes the vehicle unsuitable for normal family use. I have a family of six, and the vehicle was purchased specifically for family transportation. Despite repeated attempts, the dealer has been unable to provide a timely repair appointment. I have been informed that the proposed recall repair may involve cutting and welding the vehicle floor, which would constitute a major structural modification to a brand-new vehicle. I am extremely concerned that such a repair would negatively impact the safety, integrity, and value of the vehicle. At this time, the vehicle remains unrepaired, and I am effectively deprived of full and safe use of the car due to a safety-related defect. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed, as the recall remedy is delayed and the proposed repair raises serious safety and quality concerns. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am filing a safety complaint regarding a dealership-provided loaner vehicle that had an open safety recall at the time it was issued to me. On Tuesday 1/20, I received a loaner vehicle from Beaver Toyota in Saint Augustine, Florida while my personal vehicle is being held due to a recall. The loaner was a 2025 Toyota Sienna. I was not informed of any safety recalls at the time the vehicle was provided. Late that evening, I discovered that the loaner vehicle had an active, unresolved safety recall listed as open through NHTSA. The recall was active while the vehicle was in my possession. After discovering the recall, I attempted to contact dealership management multiple times regarding this urgent safety issue. On 1/21, I contacted the General Manager through the dealership’s website. I also called the dealership on Wednesday at 1:37 PM and left a voicemail for the General Manager. I did not receive a response. On 1/22 at 12:24 PM, I called again and left another voicemail. I then followed up with an email requesting a return call due to the safety concern. As of this evening 1/22, I have received no response. Providing a loaner vehicle with an open safety recall, without disclosure, placed me and other occupants at unnecessary risk. I am requesting that NHTSA review this matter for recall compliance and appropriate corrective action.

I am submitting this complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall on my leased Toyota vehicle and the manufacturer’s failure to provide a timely or reasonable remedy, resulting in ongoing child passenger safety risks. Toyota’s recall instructs that no one sit in or use a child restraint in the second-row seats while the vehicle is moving until the remedy is performed. This effectively prohibits use of the safest and recommended seating position for children. The vehicle is used daily for highway driving to transport my family, including three children aged [XXX] , [XXX] , and [XXX] old. Because of Toyota’s seating restriction, my [XXX] toddler must now sit in the third row. This prevents the driver from easily monitoring or comforting the child and has caused driver distraction during highway travel when the child becomes distressed, creating a foreseeable safety risk. Toyota states it is “preparing the remedy” but has provided no repair timeline. After multiple contacts and escalation, I was told it could take up to 60 days with no interim solution. Toyota suggested contacting dealerships for a loaner but advised that an equivalent vehicle was unlikely, availability was uncertain, costs might need to be paid upfront with later reimbursement, and the duration would be open-ended. This is not a reasonable interim safety solution while continuing to pay full lease obligations. I was also informed that returning the vehicle would require paying approximately $15,000 in negati

Toyota issued a recall on some 2025 Toyota Sienna’s. Our app notified us in October and we immediately took it to the dealership for a rental, as we were advised not to use the second row seats. We have to use those because we have 3 kids in car seats. The interim notice was not even mailed out until December. We were told they would start rolling out the fix for this issue in late December or January. It is now January, and there is no update on the recall and nobody can get any information from Toyota. Our car has been sitting for over three months at the dealership, undrivable. They are not offering any compensation for people affected by this recall. Since it has been out of service for that long, it should should be a lemon law qualification. We did not purchase a brand new car for it to sit there unusable. There does not seem to be any urgency on Toyota‘s part for this to be fixed. We have no updates or information and this does not seem to be a priority for them. There are 55,000 vehicles affected. This is a large number of people, and somebody needs to put some real pressure on Toyota to fix the problem. This is unacceptable and somebody needs to look into this further. Please pass this along and do something about it because this is not fair to those of us who in good faith are making our payments every month on a car that we are not able to use. It’s basically sitting there rotting while Toyota takes their sweet time to figure out how to fix it. I am extremely unhap

In October, 2025 I learned of a serious safety recall for improperly welded seat rails during manufacturing of a 2025 Toyota Sienna. I was not officially communicated of this safety recall by mail until December, 2025. I purchased this vehicle specifically to safely transport children and elderly parents, requiring full functionality of the captains seats and rear seats. While a repair/fix is being evaluated, Toyota provided the option to rent a vehicle and leave my new Toyota Sienna sitting on the dealer lot. However, no equivalent Toyota Siennas are available for long term rental at local dealerships, forcing us into highly inconvenient options for transport. Toyota was negligent in selling a new vehicle with improperly welded seat rails. There was a lapse in manufacturing quality control that is evident. Why were customers not notified until December of 2025, when these vehicles were sold nearly 6 months prior? After communications in December, 2025, there have been zero follow up correspondence from Toyota as of January 20, 2026.

I received a notification on my Toyota App in mid-Oct advising there was a recall due to the second-row seat being improperly welded. At that time, I was advised a repair was in work and to avoid using those seats. However, I have four children and require all the seats in my Sienna so I have been forced to continue to use the seats, despite the warning. In December, we called our dealership to inquire if the repair was ready or if they had a loaner vehicle we could use until the repair was ready since we were not supposed to be using those seats. The answer was "no repair is ready" and there was no loaner they could provide for the foreseeable future. At this point, I feel like I am driving an unsafe car, continually forced to put my toddler and infant into seats that could become disconnected at any time because in almost 4 months Toyota still can't seem to figure out a repair for seat welds. Toyota either needs to get a repair done ASAP, provide us with a loaner, or pay for my family to rent an appropriate vehicle to support our needs until such a time as a remedy has been enacted.

I am writing regarding my 2025 Toyota Sienna, purchased in June 2025, which is currently subject to Safety Recall Interim Notice 25TB12 concerning unsafe second-row seat welds that could result in serious injury or death. I appreciate the professionalism and concern shown by Sparks Toyota in acknowledging the seriousness of this recall and providing a loaner vehicle while my Sienna is deemed unsafe to drive. However, the current loaner—a Toyota Highlander—does not meet my family’s needs and is not a reasonable substitute for the vehicle I purchased. We intentionally purchased a minivan due to our family size and lifestyle requirements. My daughter is a competitive gymnast, and we frequently travel with athletic equipment and multiple passengers. The Highlander is significantly smaller than a Sienna and cannot safely or practically accommodate our needs. Additionally, I am concerned that there is currently no repair solution or estimated completion timeline for this safety issue, leaving us indefinitely without access to a comparable vehicle. At this point, I am respectfully requesting the following: 1.Placement in a replacement vehicle comparable in size and function to a minivan (such as a Toyota Sienna or similarly sized vehicle). • If Sparks Toyota does not have an appropriate vehicle available, I request authorization for a comparable vehicle through an outside rental agency at Toyota’s expense. 2.Compensation for the ongoing inconvenience caused by the safety defect, lac

The vehicle has been under recall for a safety issue related to second-row seat rails, and I have been informed by both the dealership and Toyota representatives that they cannot guarantee the vehicle is safe for transporting children. My vehicle is subject to a safety recall issued on October 7 for improperly welded second-row seat rails. Toyota has stated that if these seats are occupied during certain high-speed collisions, they may lose structural integrity, increasing the risk of injury. Because these seats are required to safely transport my young children, the recall renders the vehicle unsafe and unusable for its intended purpose. It has now been over three months since the recall was issued, and Toyota has not provided a remedy. The dealership has no information regarding when repairs will be available, and our vehicle is currently being held at the dealership. Toyota has provided a rental vehicle; however, this does not resolve the issue. The rental is not the same vehicle we purchased, does not meet our family’s needs, and requires frequent renewals, creating an ongoing burden. We purchased this vehicle specifically to meet our transportation needs and remain unable to use it. The vehicle was only six months old at the time of the recall. We requested a replacement vehicle due to the seriousness of the safety defect and the lack of a repair timeline, but Toyota denied this request and has offered no long-term solution. I am filing this complaint due to the unreasonable delay, loss of use, and lack of a permanent remedy for a serious safety defect involving child passenger seating.

I purchased this vehicle on March 8, 2025. On October 7, 2025, I was notified of Safety Recall 25TA12 involving the second-row seats. Due to this safety defect, the second row cannot be used, rendering the vehicle unsafe and impractical for its intended purpose. This vehicle was purchased specifically to transport my family of five, including three children (currently ages [XXX] , [XXX] , and [XXX] ), all of whom require car seats. It is not physically possible to safely install three car seats in the third row of this vehicle, particularly an infant seat. As a result, I cannot safely transport my children and the vehicle cannot be used as a family vehicle. As of January 5, 2026, more than 90 days have passed since I was notified of the recall, and I have been informed that there is still no available remedy or repair timeline. During this period, I continue to make monthly payments of approximately $1,000 on a vehicle that does not meet basic safety and usability expectations. No adequate resolution or interim accommodation has been provided. Owning a family vehicle with a known safety defect and failing to provide a remedy for over 90 days is not acceptable business practice. Manufacturer Recall Number: 25TB12 NHTSA Recall Number: 25V668 This recall was created almost three months, but we were not notified of it until receiving a letter a few weeks ago. That means we were putting our children in unsafe seats for two months! Why is the manufacturer allowed to wait so long to contact us about such a serious safety issue? Furthermore, why aren't they required to pay for us to rent comparable vehicles until they are able to fix the issue? Not being able to use the middle row of seats completely nullifies the utility of owning a minivan in the first place. What avenues are available to me for seeking recompense in this case?

I am writing to formally document Toyota's failure to provide a reasonable and lawful solution following the safety recall and was advised by my attorney that Toyota does not yet have a remedy available. Despite this, Toyota has offered only a $42/day reimbursement for a compact rental vehicle, which is wholly inadequate and functionally useless for my family. Toyota is effectively forcing us to choose between: Operating an unsafe vehicle with my children and unborn child Paying hundreds to thousands of dollars out of pocket for appropriate transportation This is not a reasonable or lawful position. I also want to make clear that I am currently pregnant and due in April. The uncertainty surrounding this recall, the lack of a safe and appropriate vehicle, and the absence of a clear resolution timeline have caused significant and ongoing stress for me and my family during a medically sensitive time. Reliable and safe transportation is not optional for us - it is essential for prenatal care, medical appointments, and daily needs for our children. Being told that there is no timeline for a repair, while simultaneously being offered only an inadequate compact rental vehicle, places an unreasonable burden on our family and creates unnecessary anxiety during my pregnancy.

I am submitting this complaint regarding Safety Recall 25TA12 (Interim Notice 25TB12) for my 2025 Toyota Sienna XLE Woodland Edition, VIN available upon request. Toyota has acknowledged that the second-row seat rails may have improper weld penetration, creating a risk that the seats may lose structural integrity in certain high-speed collisions, increasing the risk of injury. Toyota has issued written instructions advising that no one should sit in or use a child restraint in any second-row seat while the vehicle is in motion, and has also issued a stop sale, indicating Toyota’s determination that the vehicle should not be sold or delivered in its current condition. There is no repair remedy available, no parts, and no estimated timeline for correction. Because this vehicle is used to transport four young children in car seats, Toyota’s instructions render the vehicle unsafe and unusable for its intended purpose. I have complied with Toyota’s guidance and removed the vehicle from service. The vehicle has been out of service continuously since October 8, 2025 through today, December 30, 2025, totaling 84 calendar days and 60 business days with no repair attempt possible due to Toyota’s inability to provide a remedy. Toyota has stated that a loaner vehicle substitutes for safe seating; however, loaners do not correct the underlying defect, do not restore the vehicle’s certified safety condition, and do not eliminate the ongoing risk or loss of use of the purchased vehicle. The second-row seat rails on my 2025 Toyota Sienna were manufactured with improper welds that can fail in a high-speed collision, potentially causing the seats to lose structural integrity and increasing the risk of severe injury. Safety Risk and Hardship: Due to this defect, Toyota has recommended that no passengers sit in the second row and no child restraints be used in these seats until a remedy is performed. I have been awaiting a remedy for over 70 days, during which time the vehicle's primary utility as a high-capacity family transport has been compromised. This creates a severe accessibility and safety hardship, as I am unable to safely transport my family or use child safety seats in the designated locations. Forcing passengers into the third row, which does not accommodate three carseats side-by-side, is not a safe long-term alternative for our family, especially as at [XXX] pregnant, and soon to be postpartum with a XXX and two XXX in carseats. Reproducibility and Inspection: The safety defect was confirmed by the manufacturer (Recall numbers 25TB12 and 25TA12) and by my local authorized dealer upon notification. While the vehicle is available for inspection, the manufacturer has acknowledged the defect is due to incorrect weld machine settings at the factory. Symptoms and Warnings: There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the recall notification. The issue was discovered by the manufacturer during internal testing between July and August 2024 and publicly

The seats have had an excessive rattling noise since buying the car, dealer was informed and was told that it was expected. Now there has been a safety recall with no remedy in sight for over two months. Not being able to use the middle seats on a brand new car for this long is unnacceptable.

The 2nd row seats have failed to provide a knowing safe place for passengers to ride. Toyota has known about this issue since October 7, 2025 (81 days) and there is no remedy. I cannot drive my brand new van due to the safety issue (the possibility of the seats become detached in collisions) as I use my car to transport toddler family member and need to utilize the 2nd row seat; due to mobility issues I cannot place the toddler in the 3rd row seat. Toyota has been able to fix the issue to continue to make and sell 2026 7 passenger vehicles in my area as confirmed by local dealers. The problem has been acknowledge by my local Toyota dealer, as well as Toyota USA. My van has not been inspected by anyone. I had no problems with my van prior to the notification of this recall.

On [XXX], I purchased a new Toyota Sienna 2025 from Toyota Pasadena. The car has had frequent “check rear seat” and “check 3rd row seat” alerts everyday I drive. I have contacted Toyota Motors a few times since May, 2025, and visited Toyota Pasadena countless times to solve this error since April, 2025. After their “alarm specialist” checked my vehicle, they started to intentionally ignore my repair request. It seems Toyota knows the problem but couldn’t fix it in an easy and cheap way. Toyota Pasadena always insisted on me seeing their alarm specialist OFF THE RECORD, rather than accepting my vehicle for repair, so they can avoid Lemon Law punishment. When I contacted Toyota Motor a few times, they always pushed me back to Toyota Pasadena and ignored my request to have other dealers’ or the engineers fix my Sienna. I have been trapped in this endless fraud loop wasting time for a year. I have a [XXX] daughter. With this error not being fixed, I can’t risk putting my daughter and her seat on the rear seat. I was forced to buy another SUV, which created significant financial stress along with the stress of being pushed away between Toyota Motor and Toyota Pasadena over and over again. The bottomline is I need to make sure the rear seat is safe because my family’s lives are on the line. They shouldn’t intentionally hide the safety issue and forced me to accept the risk. It’s a new car in the original condition that Toyota Pasadena handed me. Everything on this vehicle was insta

The second-row seats in my 2025 Toyota Sienna are completely unusable due to an open safety recall (25V668). We purchased this minivan for our family of four children, and the second row is essential for safely transporting them. It has been several months since the recall was announced in October, and we are still unable to use these seats. The inability to use the second row affects our family’s safety and daily logistics, forcing us to rely solely on the third row, which is unsafe or impractical for our children. We have not had a crash, fire, injury, or police report, but this recall significantly limits the safe use of our vehicle.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
