I BOUGHT THIS BIKE ONLINE AND HAD IT SHIPPED TO ME IN HAWAII. IT HAS MULTIPLE PROBLEMS THAT MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO EVEN REGISTER. THE MANUFACTURER LABEL IS INVALID AND INCOMPLETE. BUT I WANTED TO REPORT THE SAFETY OF IT AS WELL. THE EXHAUST TUBING IS ABOUT 3-4 INCHES AWAY FROM THE FOOT PEDAL. I BURNED MY ACHILLES AREA WHEN I WAS MOUNTING THE UNIT AFTER STOPING AT A GAS STATION. I HAVE HAD OTHER MOPEDS, AND THE OTHERS HAVE THE EXHAUST PIPE MORE UNDER THE UNIT AND ON THE TAOTAO RACER 50 THE EXHAUST PIPE STICKS OUT. I FEEL IT STICKS OUT TOO MUCH, YET I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS THE RULE FOR THAT. THE INSPECTOR WHO I SAW,WHEN I WENT TO TRY AND REGISTER THE RACER 50 SAYS THE MANUFACTURER HAD CUT MANY CORNERS AND TOLD ME IT COULD NOT BE REGISTERED AT ALL.
