Defect. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MOTORCYCLES. THE GASKET BETWEEN THE FUEL TANK AND THE FUEL PUMP MOUNTING PLATE CAN LOSE ITS ABILITY TO PROVIDE A TIGHT SEAL, ALLOWING FUEL TO DRIP FROM THE GASKET.
Risk. IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, FUEL LEAKAGE CAN RESULT IN A FIRE.
Remedy. DEALERS WILL INSTALL A REDESIGNED FUEL PUMP GASKET ON THESE MOTORCYCLES.
