SUZUKI HAS RECALLED ALL 2012 THROUGH 2016 DL650 MOTORCYCLES FOR FAULTY CHARGING STATORS. RECALL 16V-878. SEE DESCRIPTION OF DEFECT. THE 2008 THROUGH 2011 SUZUKI DL650 MOTORCYCLES USE THE SAME CHARGING STATOR AS THE 2012 THROUGH 2016 MODELS AND HAVE EXPERIENCED A HIGH RATE OF FAILURES.. THE ALTERNATOR WAS CHANGED TO A CLAIMED 400 WATT OUTPUT MODEL BEGINNING WITH THE 2008 MODEL. MANY FAILURES, SOME MULTIPLE, HAVE BEEN REPORTED ON STROMTROOPER.COM. FOR THE 2008 TO 2011 MODELS.
