Defect. ON CERTAIN 53' ALUMINUM SMOOTH SIDE VAN TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH TUTHILL TRAILER SUSPENSIONS, MODELS 20/22 AND RS3162. THE BEAM/AXLE PIVOT CONNECTION JOINT IS MIS-ALIGNED CAUSING EXCESSIVE PLAY WITH THE TRAILER ALLOWING THE TRAILER TO WANDER.

Risk. A VEHICLE CRASH CAN OCCUR SHOULD THE TRAILER WANDER WITHOUT NOTICE.

Remedy. STOUGHTON IS WORKING WITH TUTHILL TO NOTIFY THE OWNERS OF THE AFFECTED VEHICLES AND PROVIDE FREE REMEDY. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TUTHILL AT 800-753-0025 OR STOUGHTON AT 1-608-873-2500.

I WAS SOLD A DAMAGE TRAILER, 2 DAYS AFTER PURCHASING THIS DRY VAN TRAILER THE RIGHT AIRBAG AND INNER TIRE BURSTED WHICH ALSO DAMAGED THE MUD SLAP WHILE TRAVELING IN COLORADO. I TOOK THE TRAILER TO TRANSWEST TRAILER FOR REPAIRS ON 3/31/2016. AFTERWARD I CONTINUES TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRBAG AND BRACKETS ON THE TRAILER. I TOOK THE TRAILER BACK THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE OR REPAIR, THE REGIONAL MANAGER SAID I WAS HAD AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THERE WAS TOO MUCH DAMAGE TO THE BRACKETS. SO I TOOK THE TRAILER TO A TRACTOR AND TRAILER SHOP HERE IN MEMPHIS TN, THE OWNER INFORMED ME ABOUT THE PREVIOUS WELDING ON THE FRONT AND BACK BRACKETS AND IT WOULD COST $2800. ITALKED TO THE MEMPHIS REGION MANAGER TODAY HE CONTINUE TO ACCUSED ME OF HAVING AN ACCIDENT AND CAYSING TGAT MUCH DANAGE AND REFUSED TO HELP ME.
