The contact stated that while pulling their 2008 Shorland'r Boat Trailer (frame id LUB40TABBXLW) i9i9with their 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 at approximately 10 mph when the frame of the trailer behind the safety chain fractured in half. The contact had to pull over to ensure no damage would be done however the boat that was being held by the trailer ended up crashing into their vehicle making a dent in the tailgate. There were no injuries or medical attention needed. There was not a police report. The contact had informed the dealer however they had seen or diagnosed the failure. There was no repair or replacement. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.
