Defect. ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES, FIFTH WHEEL AND TRAVEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH A TWO-DOOR REFRIGERATOR MANUFACTURED BY THE DOMETIC CORPORATION, THE REFRIGERATOR MAY HAVE A DEFECT IN THE BOILER TUBE. PRESSURIZED COOLANT SOLUTION COULD BE RELEASED INTO AN AREA WHERE AN IGNITION SOURCE (GAS FLAME) IS PRESENT.

Risk. RELEASE OF COOLANT UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS COULD IGNITE AND RESULT IN A FIRE.

Remedy. MONACO WILL BE WORKING WITH DOMETIC IN ORDER TO REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS (PLEASE SEE 06E076). DOMETIC WILL REPAIR THESE REFRIGERATORS BY INSTALLING A SECONDARY BURN HOUSING, A THERMAL FUSE, AND A MELT FUSE FREE OF CHARGE. DOMETIC HAS RETAINED STERICYCLE INC. TO MANAGE THIS CAMPAIGN. STERICYCLE WILL ASSIST THE OWNER IN LOCATING DEALERSHIPS OR SERVICE CENTERS AND WILL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH SCHEDULING OF APPOINTMENTS. BOSCH BRAKE SYSTEM BRAKE RECALL #02V278000-04-116 USED ON MY 1999 SAFARI CLASS A MOTOR HOME RECALL REPAIR COMPLETED 7-17-08. MONACO REFUSED TO REPLACE PARTS THAT FAILED AS A RESULT OF THE SPECIFIC DEFICIENT PARTS AND LATE DATE NOTIFICATION OF RECALL. AFTER ONLY FOUR HUNDRED MILES TRAVEL AND A COUPLE OF WEEKS TIME, IN ANOTHER STATE, PART OF THE WORK FAILED AND HAD TO BE REDONE. ADDITIONALLY THE MONACO COACH RECOMMENDED REPAIR SHOP THAT HAD DONE THE ORIGINAL RECALL WORK HAD BROKEN OFF A BOLT HEAD IN THE CALIPER BRACE CAUSING ADDITIONAL EXPENSE AND LOSS OF TIME FOR ME AT THE SECOND REPAIR FACILITY. NEITHER MONACO COACH, BOSCH BRAKE NOR THEIR REPAIR FACILITY WILL ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY. *TR
