NHTSA campaign 26V521000 · Part 573 safety recall report

Marion Body Works Inc.: Equipment › Emergency › Fire Supression

Marion Body Works Inc. reported this defect to federal regulators on Aug 10, 2026 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 2. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

Marion Body Works Inc. (Marion Body Works) is recalling certain 2025 Pumper fire engines, equipped with certain Weldon UV800 Display Unit user interfaces. The display may stop responding to touch commands or fail to power on, preventing the activation of exterior emergency lights, fire fighting and other emergency equipment.

The risk

A loss of exterior lights can reduce the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. Inoperative equipment can delay emergency response, increasing the risk of injury.

The remedy

Marion Body Works will work with Hale Products to update the firmware and install a monitor system, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in August 2026. Owners may contact Marion Body Works customer service at 1-715-754-5261.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 26V521000.
