NHTSA campaign 25V724000 · Part 573 safety recall report

Wartech Engineering, LLC: Service Brakes, Air › Supply › Hoses, Lines/Piping, and Fittings

Wartech Engineering, LLC reported this defect to federal regulators on Oct 23, 2025 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 18. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

Wartech Engineering, LLC (Wartech) is recalling certain 2022-2025 SpecialContainer trailers. The incorrect threaded piping fitting may have been installed between the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module and the air tank. The fitting may leak air, decreasing the pneumatic brake pressure.

The risk

An air leak can cause the unintentional activation of the brakes. Reduced brake pressure can increase the distance required to stop. Either scenario increases the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Owners are advised not to tow their trailer until the repairs are completed. Wartech will replace the fitting, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 13, 2025. Owners may contact Wartech's customer service at 1-734-429-2002.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 25V724000.
