NHTSA campaign 25V505000 · Part 573 safety recall report

Suzuki Motor USA, LLC: Exterior Lighting › Headlights

Suzuki Motor USA, LLC reported this defect to federal regulators on Aug 7, 2025 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 1,512. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

Suzuki Motor USA, LLC (Suzuki) is recalling certain 2020-2025 DL 1050 and 2020, 2024 GSX-1000S motorcycles. The upper headlight beam may be too bright and exceed the maximum light output, which may adversely affect the vision of the driver. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

The risk

Headlights that are excessively bright can reduce visibility for oncoming drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Suzuki dealers will replace the headlight assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 7, 2025. Owners may contact Suzuki customer service at 1-800-934-0934. Suzuki's number for this recall is 3A06/3A07.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 25V505000.
