Great Dane Trailers: Tires
Great Dane Trailers reported this defect to federal regulators on Mar 28, 2025 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 16. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Great Dane Trailers (Great Dane) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Champion Dry Van trailers equipped with Bridgestone R123 Ecopia tires, size 295/75R22.5. The tires may have been manufactured incorrectly with one of the three stabilizer ply belts applied in the wrong orientation. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 119, "New pneumatic tires - other than passenger cars."
The risk
Incorrect belt orientation may cause the tires to fail and increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Bridgestone (BATO) dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 27, 2025. Owners may contact BATO customer service at 1-800-847-3272 or Great Dane customer service at 1-877-369-3493.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 25V200000.
