NHTSA campaign 25V141000 · Part 573 safety recall report

Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd.: Exterior Lighting › Turn Signal

Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd. reported this defect to federal regulators on Mar 4, 2025 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 1,157. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd. (Triumph) is recalling certain 2025 Speed Twin 1200, Speed Twin 1200 RS, and Speed Twin 900 motorcycles. The red rear turn signals were installed too close to the rear tail light. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, reflective devices, and associated Equipment."

The risk

Rear turn signals that are too close to the tail lights can cause difficulty seeing the motorcycle's intentions, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Dealers will replace the red rear turn signals with amber colored turn signals, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 20, 2025. Owners may contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010. Triumph's number for this recall is SRAN 630.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 25V141000.
