Chrysler (FCA US, LLC): Equipment › Other › Labels

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) reported this defect to federal regulators on Nov 14, 2024 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 204. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2023 Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles that were previously remedied under NHTSA recall number 24V-512. The tire size information on the tire placard is incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

The risk

Incorrect tire information can result in installing the incorrect-size tires, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

FCA will mail corrected tire placard labels. Owners may bring the label into a dealer for free installation. Owner notification letters were mailed December 12, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US's number for this recall is C3B. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 24V-512 will need to have the new remedy completed.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 24V857000.
