Forest River, Inc.: Exterior Lighting
Forest River, Inc. reported this defect to federal regulators on Sep 27, 2024 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 331. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2024-2025 Viking and Clipper travel trailers. The side marker lights may not reflect light as intended, which can make it difficult for other drivers to see the trailer. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
The risk
Insufficiently reflective side marker lights can reduce the trailer's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will install reflector stickers to the lights, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 22, 2024. Owners may call Forest River Customer Service at 269-467-6604. Forest River's number for this recall is 121-1845.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 24V722000.
