NHTSA campaign 24V210000 · Part 573 safety recall report

Cruiser RV: Equipment › Other › Labels

Cruiser RV reported this defect to federal regulators on Mar 19, 2024 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 136. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

Cruiser RV (Cruiser) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Avenir trailers. The Federal Certification labels are missing the tire size and correct PSI. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars."

The risk

Incorrect tire size information could result in the wrong tires being installed. Incorrect PSI information could lead to over or under inflating the tires. Both instances increase the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Cruiser will mail new certification labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 2, 2024. Owners may contact Cruiser customer service at 1-574-562-3500.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 24V210000.
