Foretravel, Inc.: Steering
Foretravel, Inc. reported this defect to federal regulators on Feb 9, 2024 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 17. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Foretravel, Inc. (Foretravel) is recalling certain 2023 Realm FS605 and Realm Presidential FS605P vehicles. The steering gear may have foreign material inside the gear that could build pressure within the system, resulting in a loss of power steering assist.
The risk
A sudden loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Foretravel will work with the chassis manufacturer, Shyft Group to replace the steering gears, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 12, 2024. Owners may contact Foretravel customer service at 1-800-955-6226.
