Winnebago Towable reported this defect to federal regulators on May 3, 2023 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 4,313. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Winnebago Towable (Winnebago) is recalling certain 2022 Micro Minnie travel trailers. The solar panel mounting hardware may loosen, which can cause the solar panel to detach from the vehicle.
The risk
A detached solar panel can become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will install adhesive tape between the solar panel and mounting bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 9, 2023. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-574-825-5280 ext. 5220. Winnebago's number for this recall is CAM0000030.
