Off Grid Trailers reported this defect to federal regulators on Jun 7, 2022 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 300. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Off Grid Trailers (Off Grid) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Expedition, Pando, and Switchback travel trailers equipped with certain 2-burner cooktops. The burner control valves may become damaged, causing a gas leak.
The risk
A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy
Off Grid will work with Dometic to replace the cooktops, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 17, 2022. Owner's may contact Off Grid customer service at 1-800-786-3221.
