Triple E Recreational Vehicles: Equipment › Other › Labels

Triple E Recreational Vehicles reported this defect to federal regulators on Apr 19, 2022 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 119. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

Triple E Recreational Vehicles (Triple E) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Wonder W24RL recreational vehicles. The weight decal installed on the front driver-side baggage compartment door states an incorrect weight of 500 lbs, which exceeds the weight limit for the storage compartment.

The risk

Overloading the storage compartment can allow items to fall onto the roadway, increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Dealers will provide a new corrected weight decal, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed in April 27, 2022. Owners may contact Triple E customer service at 1-877-992-9906. Triple E's number for this recall is CA#10090-1.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 22V266000.
