Chrysler (FCA US, LLC): Seats
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) reported this defect to federal regulators on Nov 23, 2021 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 793. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The second-row center-seat recliner pull strap may bind on the seat trim surface, preventing the seat back from locking into the upright position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."
The risk
A seat back that is not locked into position can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
The remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace as necessary, the rear center-seat recliner strap, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 23, 2021. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is Y86.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 21V919000.
