Black Series Campers Inc.: Electrical System
Black Series Campers Inc. reported this defect to federal regulators on Feb 25, 2021 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 412. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Black Series Campers Inc. (Black Series) is recalling certain 2020-2021 C12, C13, C15, HQ12, HQ15, HQ17, HQ19, HQ19T, HQ21, and HQ22T trailers equipped with Curt emergency breakaway kits, part numbers 52041 and 52044. When the breakaway system pin is pulled and not replaced, the system battery may become depleted and draw electricity through the main battery. This can overload the electrical system.
The risk
An overloaded electrical system can increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy
Black Series will notify owners, and dealers will replace the affected components, free of charge. The recall began on March 29, 2021. Owners may contact Black Series customer service at 1-833-822-6737.

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 21V116000.
