Ducati North America: Structure › Motorcycle › Kickstand/Center Stand
Ducati North America reported this defect to federal regulators on Feb 17, 2021 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 1,601. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2016-2018 XDiavel S and XDiavel STD motorcycles. The side stand bracket may fatigue under load, resulting in failure of the side stand assembly and a potential for the motorcycle to fall when stationary on the stand.
The risk
A falling motorcycle can increase the risk of injury to persons nearby.
The remedy
Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will install a new side stand bracket, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 15 2021. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-21-001.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 21V085000.
