Forest River, Inc. reported this defect to federal regulators on Dec 10, 2020 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 200. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2020-2021 XLR Boost Toy Hauler recreational vehicles. The Federal Placard and Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label may state a lower weight than the actual weight. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars."
The risk
An inaccurate weight on the Federal Placard can cause the vehicle to be overloaded, possibly causing damage to the tires and increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Forest River will notify owners and will provide a new Federal Placard and replace any damaged tires, free of charge. The recall began January 8, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-642-0432. Forest River's number for this recall is 79-1257.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 20V767000.
