Autocar, LLC: Structure › Frame and Members
Autocar, LLC reported this defect to federal regulators on Jul 20, 2020 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 82. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Autocar, LLC. (Autocar) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Xpeditor vehicles manufactured with a single cross-member behind the engine and equipped with a front engine power take off (FEPTO). The mounting brackets of the first cross member behind the engine may fail prematurely due to strain caused by improper spacing between the cross members, causing the supportive cross member to become loose and detach from the frame rails.
The risk
If the cross member fails, the components that it supports may come loose from the vehicle, increasing the risk of crash.
The remedy
Autocar will notify owners, and dealers will replace any damaged components as well as install additional support brackets and an additional cross member, free of charge. Autocar issued owners an interim notification on September 18, 2020. Owners may contact Autocar's customer service at 1-888-218-3611 or 1-877-973-3486. Autocar's number for this recall is ACX-2003. Note: These vehicles were separated out of the previous Autocar recall (19V-456) due to their unique configuration.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 20V417000.
