Arcimoto Inc: Service Brakes
Arcimoto Inc reported this defect to federal regulators on Jan 20, 2020 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 50. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Arcimoto Inc. (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019 FUV motorcycles. During full right steering lock, the brake line may contact the steering main-link.
The risk
The contact may wear through the hard brake line, causing a loss of braking ability and increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Arcimoto will notify owners and will inspect for proper clearance between the hard brake line and the steering main-link, correcting as necessary, free of charge. The recall began January 24, 2020. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.
