NHTSA campaign 19V306000 · Part 573 safety recall report

REV Recreation Group: Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/Trailer

REV Recreation Group reported this defect to federal regulators on Apr 16, 2019 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 63. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.

The defect

REV Recreation Group (REV) is recalling certain 2019 Fleetwood Flair Model 32 S and Holiday Rambler Admiral Model 32 S motorhomes. The generator exhaust pipe placement exits the motorhome within the vehicle's departure angle.

The risk

If motorhome is driven on an incline, the generator exhaust pipe may get damaged, possibly resulting in carbon monoxide entering the vehicle when the generator is running, increasing the risk of injury or death.

The remedy

REV has notified owners, and dealers will inspect and reroute the generator exhaust pipe, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began May 21, 2019. Owners may contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417. REV's number for this recall is 190412REV.

What this page is, and what to do next

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.

This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 19V306000.
