Starcraft RV: Equipment
Starcraft RV reported this defect to federal regulators on Nov 21, 2017 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 2,879. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Starcraft RV (Starcraft) is recalling certain 2009-2010 StarCraft, Centennial, Homestead, Travel Star, Travel Star EXP, Travel Star Sport, Autumn Ridge and Autumn Ridge SE recreational trailers, 2010 Rock Star, Lexion, Emblem and Homestead recreational trailers, 2013-2016 Comet recreational trailers, 2013-2015 AR-One and Launch recreational trailers, 2014-2016 Starflyer recreational trailers and 2016 Comet Hard Side recreational trailers. These trailers are equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers that may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. The risk
In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 17V747000.
