Thor Motor Coach: Electrical System
Thor Motor Coach reported this defect to federal regulators on Apr 20, 2017 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 36. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2017 Quantum KM24 motorhomes. The power supply wire for the steps was incorrectly attached to a 50 amp circuit breaker instead of being connected to a 20 amp circuit breaker.
The risk
Should the step circuit be overloaded, the breaker may not trip as intended, increasing the risk of a fire.
The remedy
TMC will notify owners, and dealers will relocate the power wire for the steps to the correct breaker, free of charge. The recall began on June 2, 2017. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-500-1020. TMC's number for this recall is RC000135.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 17V264000.
