Ride The Ducks International LLC: Electrical System › Instrument Cluster/Panel
Ride The Ducks International LLC reported this defect to federal regulators on Mar 13, 2017 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 105. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Ride The Ducks International LLC (RTDI) is recalling certain 1996-2014 Stretch Amphibious Passenger and Truck Amphibious Passenger vehicles. The instrument cluster does not illuminate the associated symbol when the vehicles' turn signals or high beam lights are in use, instead only a solid color is lit. Additionally, the indicator for the windshield wiping system is not illuminated when the vehicle's headlights are activated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101, "Control and Displays."
The risk
If the instrument panel does not illuminate correct telltale displays for the turn signals or high beam headlights, the vehicle operator may not recognize that the systems are been activated, potentially increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
RTDI will notify owners, and dealers will replace the instrument panel telltales and controls, free of charge. The recall began on April 20, 2017. Owners may contact RTDI customer service at 1-417-266-7600.

A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 17V165000.
