Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC: Equipment › Other › Labels
Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC reported this defect to federal regulators on Feb 10, 2017 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 3. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC (Heartland) is recalling certain 2017 Sundance recreational trailers. The Federal Certification label on these vehicles may not have the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) listed on the label. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
The risk
If the GVWR is not listed, the operator would not know the trailer's weight limit and may overload the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Heartland will notify owners, and will provide them a replacement certification label, free of charge. The recall began on March 1, 2017. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032. Heartland's number for this recall is 99.01.32.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 17V091000.
