Aluminum Trailer Company: Fuel System, Gasoline › Storage
Aluminum Trailer Company reported this defect to federal regulators on Nov 16, 2016 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 46. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Bumper Pull seven or eight foot wide Toy Hauler trailers manufactured October 1, 2015, to October 31, 2016. The fuel tank may have been attached to the sub frame without rivnuts, and as a result, the mounting bolts may loosen and the fuel tank may detach.
The risk
If the fuel tank becomes loose and detaches from the vehicle, a fuel leak may result, increasing the risk of a fire.
The remedy
ATC will notify owners and dealers will replace the mounting bolts, free of charge. The recall began on January 13, 2017. Owners may contact ATC customer service at 1-574-773-2440. ATC's number for this recall is ARVFTANK.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 16V830000.
