Keystone RV Company: Equipment
Keystone RV Company reported this defect to federal regulators on Nov 14, 2016 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 127. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2017 Cougar fifth wheel trailers, models 246RLSWE, 268RLSWE, 279RKSWE, 281RDIWE, 283RETWE and 284RDBWE, manufactured August 2, 2016, to October 28, 2016. During installation, the propane gas cross tube manifold that connects the propane cylinders may have contacted the fasteners for the floor decking.
The risk
The contact may result in a propane leak, which in the presence of an ignition source, can increase the risk of a fire.
The remedy
Keystone has notified owners, and dealers will replace the manifold, free of charge. The recall began on November 15, 2016. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 16-269.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 16V822000.
