Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC: Suspension › Rear
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC reported this defect to federal regulators on Oct 28, 2016 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 23. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR vehicles built between February 19, 2016 and August 15, 2016. Due to assembly corrections during manufacturing, the bolts connecting the rear lower control arms to the knuckle assembly may fail prematurely.
The risk
If the lower control arm bolt connecting bolt fails, the rear control arm assembly may separate from the vehicle, resulting in a loss of control and increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the bolt that connects the rear lower control arm to the rear knuckle joint, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on December 19, 2016. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is J076.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 16V789000.
