Triple E Recreational Vehicles: Equipment › Recreational Vehicle/Trailer
Triple E Recreational Vehicles reported this defect to federal regulators on Aug 30, 2016 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 24. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Triple E Recreational Vehicles (Triple E) is recalling certain model year 2016 Unity motorhomes, model U24X, manufactured October 15, 2015, to June 16, 2016. The affected vehicles have a showerhead that can be lowered into the shower pan or sink basin.
The risk
In the event of a waste water backup, a submerged showerhead may syphon the waste water, possibly contaminating the fresh water supply, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy
Triple E will notify owners, and dealers will install two guide rings to prevent the shower head from lowering into the shower pan or sink basin, free of charge. The recall began on September 23, 2016. Owners may contact Triple E customer service at 1-877-992-9906. Triple E's number for this recall is CA #8368-1.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 16V627000.
