East Manufacturing Corp. reported this defect to federal regulators on Jun 13, 2016 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 6. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
East Manufacturing Corp. (East) is recalling certain model year 2016 Hybrid and Steel Dump trailers manufactured May 16, 2016, to June 2, 2016. These trailers may have incorrect Federal Certification labels with overstated gross axle weight ratings (GAWR) and/or gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."
The risk
If the GAWR and/or GVWR limits are overstated, the driver may overload the trailer, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy
East will notify owners, and will supply a new Certification Label and mounting rivets, free of charge. The recall began on July 1, 2016. Owners may contact East customer service at 1-330-325-8204.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 16V428000.
